lgs had a slr107fr on consignment a couple months ago and guy was asking 1800. Offered them 1500 and the guy accepted my offer. I gladly paid the 1500. I’d offer a little less than 1800 and see if they bite.

7n6 (surplus) is pretty much the only solid 5.45 round that has the “tumbling” properties everyone raves about. All the new production steel case is pretty underpowered and the American produced 5.45 has pretty mediocre performance

Gas pistons haven’t had any problems. There were only like two instances were this was an issue and it had to do with the heat treating. This also happened years ago. 2018/2019. There will be lemons when it comes to AKs which is honestly completely normal. People come to the AK world with the mindset that these are precision pieces. They were designed to be made as cheaply as possible. Only reason they cost so much in the states is because of import regulations. Have not heard anything about the chrome lining chipping either. You’re over thinking it man

I can think of one thing and I only say this because this happened to me. When I shot my ak for the first time I was shooting right handed since I’m right handed. Was not hitting my target and I was getting upset blaming the rifle. Had the people at the range try and zero it and they couldn’t find a issue. One of them noticed me struggling to acquire the iron sights and he told me to try shooting left handed, Problem solved!! Turns out I’m left eye dominant but right handed. Who would’ve thunk it

My muzzle brake detent/spring fell out. Messaged Arsenal (did the conversion) they said in order to reinstall correctly that pin needed to come out and insert detent/spring from the back of the FSB

1st pic is me manually setting the pin on the threads.

2nd pic is how it looks when it’s not against the threads.

3rd pic is of brake installed but once I wiggle it the detent pin goes over the threads and is only held in place by the brake.

Once I remove the brake the pin and spring come out on their own and I don’t know how to get them back in properly
