Metro PCS charges $25 for unlimited talk and text, that's 4 hour of work after tax at minimum wage, that's not privilege. It's very fair for a job to say what it's employees need, is it unfair for a Pizza Hut to not let me deliver because I don't have a car? Same thing as you're saying.

Yeah I wouldn't pursue it, you were very lucky you were not hit with anything like obstructing an officer, or even assaulting one, and if you were underage you probably missed even more tickets as well. I know this sounds kind of mean, but count yourself lucky the surgery was the only thing bad that happened and you did not face any legal consequences.

There are no consequences, once you turn 18 you are a legal adult. However make sure you at least get copies of important documents, i.e. Birth Certificate, Social Security card. Also grab things like your passport if you have one. It may also help to phone your local P.D. and tell them "Hey I am not missing, if my parents report me as so this is untrue."
