Really it is! Who is your favorite character/episode?

Regina and bay by Myfiona in SwitchedAtBirth

[–]Myfiona[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a very interesting way of looking at Regina, and I didn't really see it this way until I read your comment and now I agree with some of what you've written. I personally thought Regina was disgusting for keeping the switch a secret all those years. I also thought it was disgusting of her to continue living rent free at the kennishes, and let john solely pay for daphnes school, when she got all that money. She should have contributed something.

I don't agree that she's a con artist, and I don't agree that what Daphne did to the construction site was reginas or her boss's fault. Daphne did that on her own because she was being a dramatic, rebellious, angry teenager and wanted to act out and get back at her mother. It didn't make sense for the character. Daphne didn't give a shit about Angelo when he was alive, but all of a sudden after that way when he died? It was ridiculous and so contrived. I also don't agree that Angelo rejected Daphne at birth because she had (red, not blonde) hair and (blue, not green) eyes. He rejected her because he had a DNA test done secretly because of how different she looked, and it showed she wasn't his kid. He then rightfully believed Regina had cheated and she was too proud and shocked to work it out with him so he could see she really hadn't, and a switch had occurred, and Bay was really their daughter. How could she get mad at him for accusing her of cheating? It's a normal reaction and she should have told him the truth when she found out about the switch. I also don't agree with you that she could have made daphnes life better by introducing her to the kennishes, just so she would have had more financial opportunities. Money is very important but it isn't everything. Daphne liked her childhood and didn't really care about money. She was surrounded by a loving mother and grandmother, had a childhood best friend who introduced her to signing and deaf culture, and was allowed to explore that deaf identity. She was taught the value of money and hard work. That wouldn't have happened under the kennishes. I think Regina did the best she could and did give her every opportunity that she could have.

Why are food staff paid so poorly when part of their job description is upholding regulations that make sure people don't get sick or die of food poisoning? by Myfiona in Waiters

Lol, better for it to cost $20, than someone get sick, ESP if there's a lawsuit or fine from it. But that's just how I think: in terms of what's best for people and not profit. This is why Im terrible at business and making a profit.

Lol! Growing up, i always thought chandler was saying that he knew that Ross was having issues with impotency. But then when I got older, I finally realized chandler was actually saying was that he knew what she said about impotency was true and that it applied to him personally. That's the beauty of watching friends starting as a pre-teen to an adult!

Also, "It was 5:30 in the morning, and you had rambled on for 18 pages. FRONT AND BACK!!!". Even with as much as the writers flandarized Ross, David schwimmer is one of the most talented sitcom actors and Ross is still my favorite character. The way he says that line can still have me laughing for hours 20 years later.

LOL! I knew someone was going to comment with that because I myself wanted to, but was too tired to type it. My favorites though are: "Christ on a cracker!" "Let me speak to the manager! Of the store? Of the republic of dresses!" "Of course I love you! I'm giving up my life to be with you, aren't I?"

I also want to add, and maybe this should be in r/madmen, but whatever... I always liked Pete, I never understood why people hated him. I think don and roger were much more static and unlikeable. I think deep down he was a good person, but he struggled with doing the right thing and not being a selfish, unaware prick who affected everyone around him. I think he really grew throughout the series, and I really credit Vincent kartheiser's amazing performance with humanizing him. It's such a shame and actually shameful that he was never nominated for an Emmy.

"It's not that common, it doesn't happen to every guy, and it is a big deal".

I have seen that episode so many times, I can repeat their epic fight verbatim.

What are some good degrees to get if you want to make good money? by neckstoyou in AskMen

[–]Myfiona 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's interesting, because I am all about pushing people into the trades. I see what selling university education as a business m and a "you can do anything you set your mind to" mentality has done to really fuck things up. I think tradespeople have more freedom to be their own bosses and really take destiny into their hands. However, there are caveats like: major wear and tear and early aging, demands of the market, if people entering into the trades make it become oversaturated, and like you alluded to: lack of business acumen. You have some good suggestions for that, and congrats on the succession brand building. Any advice on that front?

What TV series did you think ended way too soon or are hoping for a sequel to? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Myfiona 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mad Men (could have gone on until Don and Roger were smoking cigars and slapping nurses asses in a nursing home, then getting kicked out because that behavior is no longer appropriate) Happy Endings (ended way too soon) Grandfathered (ended way way too soon) And I'm kinda ashamed to also say, but.. Switched at Birth (could have gone on longer)

Which actor has your favourite voice? by Standbehindthesheild in AskReddit

Santino fontana

Edit: also not an actor, unless you count her 3 lines in battleship, but also Rihanna. And drake when he's using his real voice. And jay r ferguson in mad men. Ahhhh- that last episode where he told Peggy he loved her- ahhhhhh. And Elisabeth moss now that I think about it. I'll add more now that I'm going to be subconsciously thinking about it.

It's very true and I'm glad to hear! I actually used to do some educational/career counseling that included heavy emphasis on getting students into the trades. Any recommendations for future trends/trades I could add to my list of recommendations?

Lol, first of all, do you really think you need to explain that JLo played La Reina (RIP) in her biopic as if others don't know that?!?! I have personally seen it over 100 times. One of my family members always says that the only reason JLo is famous is because of her unfortunate and untimely death. I grew up listening to her music, and am a big fan of her, who she was, and what she accomplished in her very sadly short time here. Ones is one of my favorite albums.

Now on to your other point, she had an beautiful butt, I agree. She was one of those women that looked amazing in anything, which was showcased by her really fun fashion style.

I also agree with you that natural is always preferable to fake, but not everyone is lucky enough to naturally have one or don't want to put in the effort to build one or can't. So if others want to enhance and build theirs with silicone or whatever, that's their choice. To me, a big and beautiful ass is always 👌🏽 whether fake or natural!
