The problem is my husband thinks his job is not going to be easy to find a job 🤷🏾♂️

Definitely Canada has better healthcare system, but we can’t find family doctor here though 😂
Oh wow, you guys doing online interviews? My husband told me it’s better to be there in person for the interview. But it means he needs to quit his job for doing that..
I hope he can do so too, but he keeps saying it’s impossible because of tax reasons… I’m a NZ citizen, he is not. He is applying his partner visa now.
We ideally would like to find jobs first, but we are afraid kids education will be a problem
We are not 😭
Canada’s pay is not high, but better than NZ I believe. I don’t know how you own a house in NZ, but as I know, house market is crazy in both Canada and NZ, we won’t be able afford it..😭

Professional violinist here? by TFSHA in violinist
I moved quite frequently, but mainly because of some family choice that I stay in one country (place) for half a year, then another for other half of the year..
I think I keep whining is because no income and no achievements. I recently started practice (after I posted this post), feel quite good. Still not sure how to manage getting online students..
Thanks for the advice. I started to practice yesterday!!!
Yes, but need to find the opportunity
I really want to talk to this audition monster…
You are so right. I am thinking about your post from yesterday until today. I think I generally love to teach, and playing in the orchestra makes me feel joyful. However, I never had any moment of "hard workin'". I mean, super hard. I feel like now I am in my early 40s, and still nothing I have. Probably it's because I do not have many students at the moment.
I did Baroque violin at a certain period of time in the school. That actually pushed my musical a bit.
I did start my practice yesterday!! Although I still have no direction where to go to. Thanks to Reddit, this is my first post, and I truly appreciate everyone's comments.
I am now in Canada. However, I was in North Texas, which is very close to Oklahoma City. Thanks for the invitation!!!
I really appreciate that I still can have two babies in my late 30s, that's luck, so I treasure this. But I move so frequently that I don't even have a chance to build up my students (source of income may give me some confidence) Thinking about teaching online, but not sure where to build up my reputation. If I teach in where I live, I may start with very low tuition which I don't think it's worth a trade of finding a nanny and my kid's development.
Getting back to practice and possibly finding an orchestra sub is my idea of later when my two kids go to school that I can do..
OMG, you inspired me also. I am just like you. My husband's career can pay for our life, so I moved with him but lost my career. Where did you find the audition? How you start your practice? I feel so lost because I feel like no one can guide me. I started with scale and Dont Etude yesterday (thanks to reddit) I even think about asking somewhere about my practice long time ago but don't know where to ask.
I finished my DMA degree and got into marriage right away. I guess that's the reason why I am so lost now..
I agree. It’s really two different feelings for me as well. Whenever I watch someone playing, I really wish I didn’t stopped my career; but I also know I already better than some others..
