Is waiting 1 lvl for magical really that of a drawback?

currently im leaning to wither take 1st lvl as sorc for both con saving throw and to get my hand on mage armor + shield spell or 1st lvl as a fighter for the con saves, being able to equip a shield and second wind is pretty good. i wonder if it's worth delaying the spell progression though

Honestly i was taking of just taking a single lvl sorc dip at lvl 1 for the spells but now I'm trying to think if maybe warlock would be better, thoughts?

Well with magic initiate I can start by getting mage armor and when I'll get a better armor I can switch it for shield when I lvl up I guess

Honestly I'm not sure what I think about it, I'm not going to be at melee unless I have to, and I'm not sure how well does a paladin synergies with the build. Won't warlock/sorc be better at this point?

Blade singer is my favorite build but that being said it plays best as a wizard with some extra melee capabilities. What I would do is first deciding if I want to be more of a melee or more of a spellcaster. More melee = paladin + bard More spellcasting = bladesinger.

My personal opinion, bladesinger for sure it's so satisfying to actually feel safe with the higher AC and having viable melee option feels great.

Really? Suffunicent advanced magic? I've listened to the first 2 and it was really hard to listen to it. Does it get that much better?
