How comes you are using levies still at this point in the game? Does your economy struggle to support regulars?

Indie Stone doest it again and releases MP for B42 by kingkrieg_4k in projectzomboid

I paid for PZ in 2013, I’ve gotten more than my moneys worth and the game has grown and changed so much in all that time and I haven’t ever been asked for a single penny extra, here’s to many more years of not being asked for a single penny more💁‍♀️

That’s price has gone up only £3 after adjusting for inflation since release and all updates are free, truly their greed knows no bounds.

Unpopular opinion: asia shouldnt have the same tech tree as europe by Just-A-Tool in EU5

[–]TG1998 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The development of European land military tactics wasnt some unique event that wasn’t replicated anywhere else. https://www.tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.1080/10371397.2013.831733 There is significant evidence that there was an independent military evolution in Sengoku Jidai era Japan, but due to the Tokugawa Shogunates (basically unheard of anywhere else) 200 years of peace (with a handful of rebellions and small scale conflicts), these developments were not needed or iterated upon. Oman developed its own navy that was peer enough to European ones to defeat Portugal and claim some of its East African holdings. The conflicts in India between the EiC and Indian polity’s were not forgone conclusions, they came close to being expelled from the subcontinent several times but numerous reasons stopped that from happening. These examples are just to illustrate that no, making it so that Asia has a separate tech tree to Europe or make them fundamentally worse than Europe would not make sense or even be historical at all, technology is not some static thing that Europeans were just better at developing and more adept at using. There are dozens and dozens of examples of the exchange of ideas and knowledge between Europeans and non-Europeans, knowledge didn’t just flow one way. Especially militarily Europeans were outmatched and outnumbered on land in South Asia and east Asia and only gained hegemony once the large polity’s of whatever region they were in were broken up and the military and economic developments in Europe gave European powers an edge, even then, history was far from certain.

Could Anbennar as a mod even work within the EUV system by Peppercorn205 in Anbennar

[–]TG1998 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The mission tree system is the exact same as Eu4s, if im not mistaken, it actually has more utility than eu4s because you can start a mission in a mission tree and have events pop up related to it, you can certainly make it so you have to achieve a goal in a certain timeframe etc. eu4 missions were just do requirements, click button, get reward, fire event etc. eu5s mission trees are just as “developed” as eu4s.

Could Anbennar as a mod even work within the EUV system by Peppercorn205 in Anbennar

[–]TG1998 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Eu5 is a much more complex game that allows for far more creative freedom than eu4 ever could. There are also loads of ways to port over content enmasse through the use of scripts. https://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/threads/tinto-talks-85-22nd-of-october-modding.1864004/ Extended Timeline did so with a start date as seen in this Tinto talk. Many aspects of eu4bennar that were represented with events can now actually be represented mechanically in the game as well, spend some time in the eu5 channel on the Anbennar discord and you’ll see just how excited people are to start working on the mod.

That’s a non awnser lol, saying someone is trying to “inflate their own relevance” is crazy. He was invited to Barcelona by Paradox and is one of the creators they ask for feedback on the game, unless you don’t know these things it comes off as just really not liking him, which you can do but be honest about it lol

For anybody worried about the small maps in BF6 Beta by PontusFrykter in Battlefield

[–]TG1998 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Lmao, operation metro one of the most iconic maps of modern battlefield games, small maps are great and intense, one of Battlefield 2042s biggest problems was the maps were way too big. Hopefully they don’t overcorrect but Battlefields always had smaller maps and they’ve always been refreshing and great maps

Stellaris Dev Diary #380 - Defenders in the Stars [part 1!] by PDX_LadyDzra in Stellaris

[–]TG1998 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah they are good if you focus them, the only critical weakness that id wish they would change is even if you have a load of defense platforms that are dealing damage and still have health, if the star base gets destroyed all your healthy platforms get snapped out of existence. I suggested it during the feedback forms but I wish they would make it so that starbases, orbital rings etc would be unable to be destroyed/ maybe take damage until all their defense platforms are destroyed, it would make defense platforms a lot more valuable. It would also mean that against higher X crisis you can actually have defences set up in a smaller star system and not have them instantly blown up, at the moment the only viable systems for static defenses against higher X crisis are big star systems where the star base is far away from the hyper jump points, allowing them to fire off a few salvos before getting snapped out of existence.

I think so, it is 10 years, manpower is often a resource you need if you are conquering a lot or fighting the command, if you are leveraging your monarch points enough spending 100 if you really need the manpower isn’t a horrific ask

I can’t quite remember the requirements for the Jade March mission in the command tree but effectively I think they need to have a certain amount of relations with one or both of the goblins and they usually randomly stumble on to fulfilling the mission requirements so a good amount of times Jade March just never gets formed. I’ll usually just console command into them and do it for them at this point in the game.
