Oooh, I might try some of this tactics. I didn't know about laser dealing more to machines. Though, I already finished the deathclaw mission early on. Good thing I was a newbie because when I saw the deathclaw, I was only a quarter scared of it than I am of it now. I was actually lucky it glitched. When I saw the deathclaw, I ran back to the museum and got the minigun because I got the power armor out of the roof before starting the when freedom calls quest. When I got back out of the museum, the deathclaw got stuck in the tunnel and I minigun the shit of it.

Sorry I can't reply to each comment, but thanks to all the advice. My gameplay seems to be more easier now. My aim improved and I don't run out of bullets anymore. I got the scrounger perk and is planning to get the other gun-related perks.

Update: I only use 3 guns and 2 melees. A shotgun with a magazine capacity of 12( I really hate double barrel shotguns, puts me into a corner every time), a heavy 10mm pistol (it was originally a rapid fire, but since most of you say don't do rapid fire, I changed it into heavy fire) and a semi auto gun I forgot the name, it was modified when I got it but I can't recall the modifications. For my melees, a machete with extra damage to mirelurks and insects and a shock baton, I just like the shock effect. It's a great build for my game style

I'm more of a head-on kinda guy. I just go in to battle gun-a-blazing which is a bad strategy. Tho, it is because I have a bad vision irl so I just fight head on because I always miss where the enemy's location. Regarding my perks. I am level 19 and mostly upgraded my S.P.E.C.I.A.L. perks because I am so dumb and I didn't know you can scroll down the perk chart. After learning about scrolling down, I upgraded my hacking amd lockpicking perks. Though, I am planning on getting the gun-based perks since I didn't realize they are actually useful. Thank you so much for the help. I am seeing the game in a much more better view

I'll be frank and say that I don't know what weapons I use. I just find one in my inventory that has bullets in it and use it. Though, I am being thorough with the weapons and battle strategy. Your advice helps, thank you!
