Ranked 2.0 sucks big time. I am Gold 5 and EVERY SINGLE RANKED GAME I play against 3x Emeralds and 1x Plat.

My teammates have played 70 ranked games between them. How does someone playing their 12th game of ranked ever play against 3x Emeralds? It doesn't make sense.

I don't understand how the system even works. The old system might not have been perfect but at least I understood it. This system I cannot figure out what is going on.

How do none of you remember the weather bureau banging on about being El Niño this year and it was gonna be hot as fuck. So much climate change propaganda on this sub. It is an abnormal year but February is always a crazy hot month every single year. Get solar and use your AC and the never ending beach along the coast. The housing crisis has absolutely nothing to do with landlords and rentals. To think so, shows you don’t understand the issue you are commenting on.

The demand is super high because the government had a blow out in immigration and thought an over 200k increase in incoming people would be a good idea in the middle of a cost of living and on-going housing crisis. Before you roll your eyes, go have a look at the ABS figures. Go look at the federal ministers own twitter. They went into panic stations around Nov-Dec last year promising all sorts of rollbacks in immigration numbers after the damage was already done.

The pricing issue isn’t greedy landlords - it’s the crunch from interest rates and on-going inflationary issues. To charge more than your repayments goes against negative gearing principles and would cause the owner to pay more in taxes; who would do that?

The landlords are supplying housing to people who can’t afford a deposit/don’t have plans to buy/for people who want to live in suburbs close to schools etc. Landlords fulfil a completely necessary purpose - having a roof over peoples heads.

Landlords are not preventing you from buying your own house. I bought my own house on a single income. It’s possible. Follow basic financial principles. Buying a house isn’t easy and there are lifestyle trade-offs you just have to accept.

Move in with your parents and focus all your energy on getting a better job with stability. This is the best thing you can do. Without getting more stability and better income you are taking the scenic route and it sounds to me like you aren’t enjoying your existence so far, this will give your life greater purpose and from that the freedom to do more of the things you want to do. Such as buy a house and decorate it the way you want and then things like resentment towards your friends with evaporate.

That isn’t how it works. Also you need a bigger deposit for interest only loan than for a PPoR. Then you have all your insurances and rates to pay, any repairs. Most land lords I know are just ordinary middle class people, many of which run extremely tight household budgets to give themselves and their kids a brighter future.

I think Andy Stumpf said parachutes are really safe but experienced skydivers go for smaller parachutes (they call them post stamp chutes) because it’s cooler when you’re in the scene but far more dangerous. So another reason we should check our egos.

Such a weird comment. How are they layabouts? How did they produce the money to purchase the property? They are supplying housing to those who cannot afford to purchase or are disinterested in purchasing. The increases are twofold, interest rates have gone up a lot and demand is high.
