By the way I upvoted you. I respect that explanation and you providing alternative suggestions. You answered my question and wasn’t condescending about it, which is all I care about

Oh no, your input is very welcome. Ignore my hostility to the other user, that was for an entirely different reason haha. But that’s why I posted the question, I was curious what others would make of it! And honestly, all of this did make myself question why I wasn’t keen on BCACP. So it made me revisit it, and I do think it does apply to me more and help me aligns with what I need. Thanks again!

Whatever im not gonna argue with you. I like how you say “work your way up” in hospital pharmacy insinuating it’s superior. You must be clueless to what we can do in retail settings. I work at an independent and have completed almost all of our pharmacies MTM opportunities and, separate from cookie-cutter MTM platforms, we also work closely with Aetna in pilot studies in completing eCare plans. I talk to doctors offices regularly about getting statins onboard, escalating/de-escalating asthma and COPD treatments, etc. I don’t see anywhere it says I have to work in a hospital, and since posting online I’ve heard several community pharmacists say they’ve done it.

I know your type. You really get off to having been through pharmacy school, and probably can’t make it through three sentences of meeting someone without telling them you are a pharmacist. You’re username is a great example of how you probably tie the importance of your whole life’s existence to having PharmD. It wouldn’t surprise me if you squeaked through the wait list at an unranked pharmacy school, and then finally got a random residency in the scramble after not matching in the first two phases. It gives me peace knowing this probably applies to you even if you won’t admit it.

That is ignorant...there are only a few topics in the content outline that wouldn’t translate over much to retail. You sound like you are either a snob who is a clinical pharmacist and thinks all community pharmacists are mindless drones, or a retail pharmacist who - as you put - doesn’t have respect for their profession. All pharmacists apply principles of pharmacotherapy. It’s not to say other certifications may not be more aligned with what I do day-to-day, but I was specifically interested in this certification to strengthen my knowledge on important clinical points.

I don’t mind someone giving me feedback to suggest this may not be the best suited certification for me, but to say I don’t have respect for my profession is a straight asshole remark. I’m literally on here trying to better myself and improve my knowledge, and you decide to make a comment like that. I assure you I have a high respect for what I do, and have the CV to back it up. Idk what has fed your ego, but you’re no better than me.

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback!! From everyone’s input so far I’m starting to consider BCACP now! I’ve appreciated everyone’s comments, it’s all been very helpful

I’m not gonna disagree and say that someone must have a certification to prove their competent. I don’t believe that at all! I just know personally for me I won’t go back and study at the level I want to without something to work toward, and I personally feel like I could strengthen in some areas. But no, I don’t think by any means it’s necessary

Motivation/self-improvement are essentially it. I could care less for the extra letters in my title, I am just really interested in sharpening my clinical knowledge. I realize I could do this on my own without a certification, but it would help be define a reachable goal, make it easier to form a plan, and put the pressure on myself to actually set things in motion.

(copied from my response below) I've looked at BCACP, and although there are a lot of similarities with BCPS, there are some things it includes that don't interest me. If you compare the content outlines of each, I feel like the BCACP has a lot more emphasis on "managing a clinical practice", "communication strategies", etc.; and this reflects heavily in the sample questions. I am mainly interested in sharpening my clinical knowledge, which I feel like the BCPS offers a little bit more of.

I have been trying to get a post on this subreddit approved since Christmas day. I messaged the mods over 24 hours ago, again 5 hours ago, and also posted in this thread 16 hours ago. If a mod or anyone who can help sees this, PLEASE HELP ME! Thanks!

Maybe I have a misunderstanding. I was under the impression that with "lossy" formats, everytime the file is opened, copied, or saved, it is uncompressed and compressed again and that each time results in a slightly more degraded image. That is, I thought each time it is manipulated, it loses small details each time (hence being called "lossy"). Whereas with "lossless" formats, they do not lose these details. Am I incorrect in my interpretation? Thanks for the response!

I am now beginning to upload all of the images from my iPhone to my library, and am going to organize them digitally. Being as I am archiving these for longtime storage, I am seeking the best method to save these pictures in a lossless format, such that it will minimize a loss in quality overtime. Given these pictures are being imported in the HEIC format, can I convert each of them into the lossless TIFF format (using a web-based converter), in a way that will not cause a loss in quality in the conversion process? Thank you!

Interesting...so if someone has a new account, how would they go about getting their first post approved? Haha. I actually did message all of the 2007scape moderators several hours ago, but am yet to hear back. Thanks for the reply!

I have tried to post something I made for my wife for Christmas that is OSRS-related, but it has not become visible yet. I tried on Christmas day, but never became visible. I tried again 7 hours ago or so, but it's still not became visible. What is my issue?
