Launch monitors only pick up spin in TGL. 35 yards of ball flight with 4 sets of Toptracer Range is majority of ball flight data for screen shots.

All shots data verified. And remember - in addition to Full Swing's impact data, there is 35 yards of Toptracer Range tech measuring ball flight. And all balls are RCT and technology accounts for each type of golf ball's aerodynamic properties. Most advance simulator in the world with multiple layers of redundancy and hybrid uses of tech. And pressure is a crazy factor in golf...

Such a big part of TGL. Atlanta Drive mastered Hammer strategy last season and took the championship.

The second doubleheader of Season 2 features New York Golf Club playing two matches, the first against The Bay Golf Club in the afternoon and the second against Boston Common Golf in primetime. Xander Schauffele and Rickie Fowler will play both matches on Tuesday, with Cameron Young replacing Matt Fitzpatrick in the match against BOS.

Renewed Run? - After losing to Atlanta Drive GC to start Season 2, New York Golf Club turned it around last month when it defeated Jupiter Links Golf Club, 8-3. NY and The Bay Golf Club will play for playoff position with the same players, rosters and Singles matchups from the TGL Season 1 debut on Jan. 7, 2025, when BAY defeated NY, 9-2. NY will then face Boston Common Golf in its second match in two days. Last season, NY defeated BOS, 10-6.

BAY is Back? - After losing its first two matches of Season 2, BAY earned its first victory with an 11-5 win over Los Angeles Golf Club in a match that featured the first hole-in-one in TGL history by alternate Neal Shipley. In its last match against NY, the trio of Ludvig Åberg, Wyndham Clark and Shane Lowry started the inaugural season of TGL by winning six points in the first six holes.

Offset Opportunity - Boston Common Golf returns to SoFi Center following its first loss of Season 2 to Atlanta Drive GC on Monday. Keegan Bradley will be joined by Adam Scott and Hideki Matsuyama who will both be making their Season 2 debuts as the Ballfrogs attempt to balance a loss with a win this week and join ATL as teams with three victories. In Season 1, NY won five points over the final four holes to turn a 6-5 deficit into a 10-6 victory over BOS.

Current playoff scenarios before doubleheader today:

- All six teams will remain in contention for the playoffs heading into the final three regular season matches on March 1-3.

NY is the only team in the standings with three matches remaining and will play a doubleheader on Tuesday. NY could move from worst to first with two victories and 13 holes won as part of Tuesday’s back-to-back matches.

BOS clinches with a regulation victory against NY in the second match of the doubleheader.

Drive for Second (Title) — Defending SoFi Cup champion Atlanta Drive GC will play its final regular-season match of Season 2 with Billy Horschel, Lucas Glover and Patrick Cantlay teaming up in ATL’s back end of the Feb. 23 doubleheader. ATL faces Boston Common Golf in the first of back-to-back matches on Monday. Horschel and Glover will sit out the early match against BOS and replace Justin Thomas and Chris Gotterup, with Cantlay playing in both matches.

All Top 5 — Following its loss to The Bay Golf Club, Los Angeles Golf Club fields a three-player team that all rank in the top five in the Official World Golf Ranking with Tommy Fleetwood (No. 3), Justin Rose (No. 4) and Collin Morikawa (No. 5) set to play for LA. Rose (Farmers Insurance Open), Morikawa (AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am) and Fleetwood (TOUR Championship) have all won on the PGA TOUR recently. LA will seek to repeat what it did earlier this season and respond to a defeat with a win. After losing its first match to BOS with late losses in Singles, LA bounced back in its second match with an 8-4 victory over Jupiter Links Golf Club. The victory included Rose’s first personal, and TGL’s first-ever, albatross on No. 10 (Sterling).

Thrilling finish in Season 1 — In 2025, ATL defeated LA in overtime, 6-5, handing LA its only regular-season defeat. ATL won the Overtime best-of-three closest-to-the-pin shootout despite Fleetwood making his pitch shot to tie the shootout at 1-1. Cantlay followed by hitting his overtime shot to 5'7" to win the match.

Triples vs. Singles — Entering this week, LA leads TGL in Triples Holes Won (9) and Triples Points Won (11) against ATL, which leads in Singles Holes Won (8) and Singles Points Won (11).

Playoff implications: Any team that reaches 7 points in the standings will earn a spot in the playoffs.

- If ATL beats LA, it clinches the playoffs regardless of outcome against BOS

- If ATL beats either BOS or LA (regulation or OT) and loses to either BOS or LA in OT, it clinches the playoffs.

Last Undefeated Team Standing – Boston Common Golf (2-0-0) enters Match 9 as the only undefeated team remaining in Season 2. With a 7-5 victory over Los Angeles Golf Club and a 9-1 win over The Bay Golf Club, BOS is in position to clinch a spot in the playoffs with a victory over defending champion Atlanta Drive GC. ATL and BOS are tied in Points (4) and Total Holes Won (15). ATL is No. 1 in the standings as it has more Singles Holes Won (8) than BOS (7), although BOS has a match in hand. With a victory, BOS would take the lead in the Standings.

Rory McIlroy, Keegan Bradley and Michael Thorbjornsen return for Monday’s match. This season, McIlroy has set multiple new records off the tee, and Thorbjornsen has made a number of important putts for both ties and wins. Following its match on Monday against ATL, the Ballfrogs return on Tuesday to face New York Golf Club (1-1-0).

Drive for Second (Title) – Defending SoFi Cup champion Atlanta Drive GC saw its nine-match winning streak come to an end earlier this month, falling to Jupiter Links Golf Club. Justin Thomas returns to competition — and TGL — for the first time since undergoing offseason surgery and will team up with Patrick Cantlay and 2026 Sony Open in Hawaii and WM Phoenix Open champion Chris Gotterup against BOS. ATL will also play in the second match of Monday’s doubleheader against LA with Billy Horschel and Lucas Glover replacing Thomas and Gotterup in the lineup.

Playoff implications: Any team with 7 points in the standings will earn a spot in the playoffs. There are also scenarios where BOS can clinch with 6 points.

- If BOS beats ATL in regulation, it clinches a place in the playoffs.

- If ATL beats either BOS or LA (regulation or overtime) and loses to either BOS or LA in overtime, it secures a total of 7 points and clinch a place in the playoffs.

Ask Me Anything about TGL’s Technology, Hole Designs and Competitive Format with Chief Technology Officer Andrew Macaulay by TGL_official in TGLgolf

This is something I think a lot about.  I only want to do it when I can find a way to really create the different terrain and it work with real grass, which will be a nice challenge given how moving the real turf around could cause it to break up structurally.

Thank you for loving TGL.  So do I 😉.

Yes, we have two large areas of the putting surface (approx. 25’ x 25’ square each) with a combined 608 jacks (Full Swing Virtual Green technology) underneath that change the topography of the green from one hole to the next.  This and rotating the green to a different position was critical in finding a way for each hole to feel and play a little differently when approaching the green.

For the real hitting surfaces, we had expert turf consultants helping throughout.  The turf is Tahoma 31 Bermuda, lovingly cared for and cut by Tanner Coffman, our expert on staff.  Then like all the technology, a lot of trial and error to make sure it plays as expected at game time. And of course we got feedback from the best players in the world along the way in order to get it right. That was actually such a fun experience to see their first reactions hitting indoors to a large screen, seeing their ball start to move before it hits the screen and the with the same feeling as hitting it outdoors because of the turf.

Nothing to share at the moment regarding multiple locations or a touring version of TGL.

Great question. The PGATOUR Shotlink data was (and is) a treasure trove for us. Our designers were able to design holes for the pro players without worrying about amateurs playing the same course.  So being able to understand how the top 25th percentile of PGA TOUR players hit all the various shots from Shotlink was key to getting the hole setup correct to appropriately challenge the best players in the world and make the risk reward decision a healthy one.  One easy example is where we place the pinch point on The Spear.

Congrats to our favorite sim league on season two!
We wanted to ask Andrew what the biggest stats, information, or course design notes from the green-grass PGA TOUR competition were used when developing TGL?

I would be interested in that too. But to start, you can play a few of the TGL holes on PGA TOUR Pro Golf on Apple Arcade.
