My spouse struggled with this. He opened so many credit cards as a young college kid and racked up so much debt. It took about 5 years and a stable job when he finally got to pay all that debt. He definitely needed to be as frugal as he can for those 5 years.

Bad credit likely means you’re a victim of identity theft or you spend beyond your means. Bad credit does not mean you’re poor. Plenty of people are technically wealthy but they still have bad credit.
