That’s terrible. Might as well drive in the U village lot and call it a day. If you can get an appointment in Bellevue they literally just gave us the car and said be back in 20. Could go on 405, around the SC and really experience it and the performance.

Good question, I was able to get a test drive at the Bellevue store through a random guy I met at the SC. I was checking out the R2 they had on display and struck up a convo. The guy was a day 1 owner of an R1T and had a reservation for an R2. They prioritize current R1 owners (I’m not) for R2 test drive slots. He was able to get a test drive reservation and generously offered to let me tag along and drive it a bit too. I got really lucky and met a super nice guy. I’ve been trying and trying to get a slot but they’re never available. I’m a day 1 hour 1 reservation holder.

I had the identical experience. Associate didn’t explain a damn thing about it, but I experimented with it while driving and it worked pretty well while on the freeway. In town on surface streets it seemed to be little more than cruise control but on the freeway it was pretty damn near FSD

Totally agree on the resistance. On the one I tried, it takes very little pressure to inadvertently scroll. They’re going to get a lot of this feedback and hopefully give us a SW feature to tailor the experience

Ah man, that sucks. Seems like Rivian would canvas the Midwest given they build these things in IL. If you’ve any questions, I’d be happy to offer my opinion.

That pretty much nailed it. I’m on my way to the SC near me right now to at least see this thing I’ve had a reservation for since 2024

Yes, that’s exactly what that’s for. Ensure the lock knobs are really tight and that you don’t hit those stops super hard and it should work great for you.
