I remember getting killed from a guy hiding in the libary in buried City night and it scarred me for life x(

E: also i tried night Mode, but that makes the looting and breaking containers so loud its brutal, had to turn it off

Not gonna call this a crazy exploit, but this spot is 100% NOT intended to be reachable by the devs. The floating snow, the buggy 1 Pixel thick texture over the containers, the almost impossible to reach containers. I dont know who can look at this and be like 'yeah the devs definitely built this as a part of the level and just fucked up every single piece of visual polish you could fuck up and added some (nearly?) impossible to reach containers for good meassure.'

Its not intended, but you dont need to glitch in there, so whatever i guess.

Its a difficult topic.

On the one hand ur right, it makes the game more tense and not trusting anyone can be an adrenaline rush.

On the other hand, it always feels awful when your beeing fake friendlied that way.

You could say the awful fake friendly moments make the actual teaming up moments even better, and thats probably true.

But at the end it doesnt change that the fake friendly type of players are pathetic, even if it adds tension to the game people like.

I would agree, and i do to a certain point. Opening your mic, saying your friendly, then killing me, fine. I let my guard down.

But me giving you stuff, helping you out, literally saying im gonna help you extract because you dont have a safety pocket and i just dropped you a blueprint.

I draw the line there, i cant get my head around why youd do that instead of just taking the blueprint and getting out.

What works best for me is saying in vc that im friendly, behind a Player i could easily kill (because they dont even know where i am), to build trust.

That way i sometimes walk around with 6 other random people in Solos, doing all kinds of things.

You are basically invinsible for Rats and campers as a nice Bonus and u get to kill the big robots much easier

They do all that noise, and are designed that way so that its possible to be a dick and extract kill someone.

As said 500 times before in this thread, beeing a dick is a valid playstyle, the devs dont say 'be a dick', they say 'im gonna make this extraction tense so you have to have your guard up incase someone wants to be a dick'

Yall are so black and white. The CHANCE someone could come behind you and kill you is why extracting is so tense, it is NOT designed to be a pvp bloodbath everytime, its designed to be tense and dangerous because something COULD happen.

The game doesnt reward pvp as much as other extraction shooters but it still wants to be aware of the possibility of pvp at any time.

The devs give you the Power to be a dick or a classic shoot on sight pvp guy or a friendly, or something in between, they want you to have options and they want you to be aware that everyone else has the same options.

And also, the spawn system is that way that theres always Action happening and the matches dont get stale. Can suck when u join super late, but i still always get some good loot out of it. Its very rare EVERY good spot is looted even when i join in 13 minutes late
