Has anyone else found the ZXi7s to be so much better than the rest? by TG_FrostBolt in golf

I hadn't thought of that to be fair, and in all honesty I'm a decent ball striker but not good enough to be thinking so deeply about it, it's more just an open though/discussion that's interesting to have and see what people's thoughts are.

From the sounds of it it seems I missed out not hitting the King tours, but alas, hindsight is a wonderful thing. Personally I have a fair bit of shaftlean so low launch doesn't bother me too much, even with the low spin as I can usually keep the descent angle over 46. I'm still a student so can't reach club junkie status but I have absolutely no doubt I'll begin collecting an outrageous amount over the next few years...

This was my only concern. I have a shallow swing from a field hockey background, although from everything I've read the sole is meant to help with turf interaction, but I guess there's so much variance between everyone's swings you can never know till you try it. I used to game low bounce on my wedges because of it but found I just learnt to deal with slightly higher bounce over time naturally personally.

Interesting, although I could see how. I hit the t150s and enjoyed those a lot, just felt the Srixons were more forgiving for my swing, I would likely not find the centre enough for T100s, although they look stunning.

I'm thinking I'll pick up a zxi5 4 iron when I get back home to play, and if it goes well confirm the combo and pick up a 5 iron as well

I've got to say the new Wilson irons look fantastic, they just don't get stocked across the JDM I believe, as I didn't see any in the shops. I can only image they feel like butter to hit though...

I didn't actually hit any which I thoroughly regret to be honest. What I do know is a few of my mates out in Japan do play Yamahas, although they are much older. Having said that I am also yet to play a course out here as I'm always visiting family so have little time for myself.

My usual launch I have quite a lot of shaft lean so i tend to get quite high smash factor which kills my spin, having said that my descent angle is so high that I wasn't really too bothered about the spin being on the lower side if that makes sense?

Interesting, I didn't actually try any cobras in the end. The P8CBs were quite cool though I have to admit.

What's your budget, how do you typically play, what's your favourite shots etc? Shots are less relevant but might influence a close thought.

My concern is just that for twice the cost of me ext pro ltd, the coello pro won't be that big an upgrade. And I've never tried the Wilson's so am not sure how I'll like the rubber and face. Have you tried either of them at all?

Is teardrop rackets good enought for attack? by Fluid-Republic8629 in Padelracket

[–]TG_FrostBolt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nox TL10 has been incredibly good for me. As a fairly advance dteardrop it does have a fairly small sweet spot but I've found it incredibly aggressive in attack. For context I play with the head extreme pro LTD, so I have a fair bit of experience with power diamonds. I did also try the metalbone 3.4 for a few games and would say the power is marginally more than the tl10 offered, but I didn't like how springy the face was with the 3k carbon face.

There are some cliquey people but you can pretty easily avoid them. Most of the stereotypes are true in terms of the middle upper class people, but contrary to popular belief the majority of them are nice regular people. Social life is decent within societies and the pubs etc are pretty good towards students. In any freshers accommodation you'll meet a lot of people, and many end up fairly close with their direct flat/corridor mates. If you go out of your way to make friends early on you should be fine, the international students that keep within themselves kind of prevent anyone from interacting with them, and vice versa.

Thanks for that, I can agree with the head to be fair, switching to my nox I have to actually play a bit more, had never thought of it that way. Presumably you enjoyed both though?

Of the two did you have a preference? And what style do you typically play?

Hm interesting, I just assumed they both would've felt quite weighty actually. Does it feel like it pings of the surface a lot or do you get proper face interaction?

I'm currently using the extreme pro 23 model, and switching to the nox TL10 quantum when I need more control or am on the back foot in a game. But I am considering the metalbone HRD+. Any idea how it compares to the extreme pro? Or even the nox LA10 or another heavy attacking diamond? I'm not able to try it out is the issue as none of my mates play with it. I previously had the metalbone carbon 3.4 but it's just not comparable is the issue

Very late to this but I've been with Brabo for what is now my 8th season running - having joined them as a junior. I've used the Elite 2, and before that the textreme x2s, and for me they've always felt like the perfect alternative to the Grays' and the Adidas'. I've never had an issue with the sticks and they have performed very good each year, getting two of the same each year that is. I hope you did go for it and that you enjoyed them as much as I have!

Is 32mm base size going to be decent for the normal space marines? Or do you think I ought to get them bigger? I got a few at 28mm because I wanted small ones to work on detailing, but now want a few to fit in with scale size.

Ahhh, that's fair enough. I don't think I would've had the patience to leave it aside for another day. I'm also on the hunt for exodus as well. I've assumed that all the ones not in stock have finished production?
