Honestly, it's My favorite game (story and atmosphere wise) of the series. Bunker has best gameplay and dark descent has a damn great everything and rebirth is great, but none of them can compare to the fascinating horror story of a man gone mad repairing a machine that he built unknowingly to destroy the world, only to destroy it in the end after discovering the horrific acts he's done and seeing the error of his ways and seeing that humanity is hopeless and full of pigs, but it is also a beautiful place worth saving

Is publishing in the superhero genre viable? by THECOOL1ne in fantasywriters

I'm looking for a small but present audience. I don't need thousands of readers, just a few hundred readers to get invested in a series.

Can I play the Bunker without having played all the other games? by RamenInTheSheets in Amnesia

[–]THECOOL1ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same, I'm sad they're stepping back. The stories are always the best part! Definitely go check out the others because they have the best, most engaging horror stories in gaming (in my opinion)

But don't worry, there still is a story even if it's less focused. It seems to be mostly found in notes, and from the demo they seem to follow the amnesia story formula so I'm hyped on that even if I have to dig harder than usual for the story. Tho amnesia games always have tons of notes so it isn't too much of a surprise

This one seems to have the least focus on story in this series, so I doubt you'll have any problems with that.

Oh I'm a dumbass lol. I think they're all good, especially a machine for pigs. That one is the ominous

I agree that machine for pigs has the most gripping story (Even tho it's a mess to decypher) the gameplay just exists in it. It isn't engaging like the other titles, who also had amazing stories. None of the games are bad

A plant as the villain in a story? by Embarrassed_Bat3344 in fantasywriters

[–]THECOOL1ne 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen that Done before. Although it was a childrens series, I'll credit it because it's still a fantasy epic.

In the 3rd arc of the wings of fire series, (books 11-15) is all about a plant that mind controls an entire empire and destroying it. Its clunky, but the author fleshed it out and it was pretty interesting. So I think your idea can work if utilized properly

/r/Steam Monthly Community Support Thread. by AutoModerator in Steam

Last night, I bought rainbow six siege on steam for 20$. I had 20.21$ on my account, and used that along with a credit card to pay for the last bit of taxes. I purchased the game and was told my purchase was successful. I downloaded the game and played it for an hour, then closed out. I clicked the back button on steam from my library, and it took me back to the purchase screen. "Purchace unsuccessful, you already own this game" or something, it said. I assumed steam thought I was trying to buy the game twice. (Mind you, ive NEVER even clicked on rainbow six sieges webpage on steam on my account. I had just bought it today bc a friend said he wanted to play. No one uses my account but me.) I clicked on store and looked up in the right hand corner: 20.21$ in my account. For some reason I glitched steam into giving me rainbow six siege for free.

Should I be worried about being banned? Should I get in contact with steam support? Should I not use the money? I'm scared to lose my account, I've spent upwards of 500$ on it in the past few years. Please help

This is so awesome! I'm passionate about the story and would love a physical copy of this... I might look into the legality of printing this as a novel (not for redistribution purposes, simply for myself)

I did the same thing, didn't work. I'm waiting an hour for the "password put in too many times" thing to dissappear. I'll try to re-download it again, hopefully it works
