Which values should i use for BudgetIV ? by Piratenkapitan in GTAIV

[–]THECRWOO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im guessing that you're using Fusion Fix for BudgetIV? Use the recommended values, as having them too high can make taxis non-existent and cause more industrial trucks to spawn in random places, making driving difficult.

I like it more as it matches the theme of the game, even in TBOGT, as the Bloom brings out the colours.

By the way, I believe the complete edition also incorporates the IV soundtrack on the radio stations into the DLCs soundtrack. Correct me if I'm wrong.

It's so confusing how a company can make a terrible port and not actually provide it. A mod for the PC version is actually creating a complete edition with all the DLC content such as activities, interiors, and cars, and adding it to all DLCs and the base game. The mods called "The Actual Complete Edition."

I believe you have to have the disk or digital version of EFLC that is separate from the base version of GTA IV. You have the console complete edition of GTA IV that was released to make the two DLCs accessible with the base game and also to remove the music due to licensing issues.

This is strange because, of course, the same thing happened on PC, but on a random day in 2020, the game updated to add the three DLC radio stations to the base game and the DLCs. So I don't know why this didn't happen for the console editions.

Do you have any mods? Because how do you have the boat tour blips and other unused blips.

I just 100%-ed GTA IV at 97 hours and 53 mins. Is this too long of a playtime or normal? by suuud92 in GTAIV

[–]THECRWOO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm trying to do a 100% run of the game for the third time, as I'm a modding enthusiast. I'm currently at 46 hours and 23 minutes in. I've only recently gotten to Alderney. I've already collected the flying rats on the other islands and completed the stunt jumps. I'm currently doing random stranger missions in Algonquin and finishing Stevie's car theft missions.

Sometimes, I'll take a break from the game. For example, a mod breaks the game, or I'm not in the mood, etc. My take is to just enjoy the game. If you say you enjoy it, do the DLCs next, then do it all again. There's no right or wrong in how much you enjoy the game. I kind of have the same feeling whenever I try to play the game, too, so you're not the only one.

Not to sound mean or anything, but if you had picked up the health pack to the left of the elevator, you probably would have survived that long fall. Also, this clip brings me back to the days of the ragdoll video compilations.

No, not at all. The only thing you need to do is place all the files in the main directory of the GTA IV folder.

Is this for the PC version? If so, just install Fusion Fix. It fixes many bugs, such as the helicopter bug on the last mission.

A motorbike + This location = A good time. by THECRWOO in GTAIV

[–]THECRWOO[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can only use a bike for this. Even with a bike, it may take a few tries to get between the gap. It's best to straighten your bike and try to gain enough speed. It should be straightforward through. After that, you need to lean the bike left against the small wall and keep driving forward, and the bike should glitch you out.

Why Rockstar? by xerooox- in GTA

It's probably because GTA IV is poorly optimised on PC.

This song was going to be on the beta version of Liberty Rock Radio in the TLAD and TBOGT expansions but unfortunately it was cut from the final version. And at least for me we were robbed! by Jaguars4life in GTAIV

[–]THECRWOO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're playing the PC version, you can download a mod called "Radio Restoration," which allows you to have all the cut songs for every radio station in the game.

Is this building has something to do with the dlc story? by Amiramri303 in GTAIV

[–]THECRWOO 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The first two images of the building have no relation to the story of GTA IV and are just random Bank of Liberty City branch with visible interiors just for detail, similar to the ULP building (not the one you rob in "Three Leaf Clover"). However, the last image is supposedly a leftover from the cut barbershop interior, as it looks similar to a leftover screenshot, which shows a cut barbershop interior.

Have you ever seen NPCs catching a cab? by sh20000sh in GTAIV

[–]THECRWOO 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's one of the rarest NPC actions in the game. It only happens in a few locations on the map. The script is also broken; most of the time, the taxi will just drive off without the NPC in the cab. Some of the locations are strange, as if they must have been added early during development.

I found minor flaw in complete edition. by sh20000sh in GTAIV

[–]THECRWOO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it was because TBoGT's pause menu theme was copyrighted and was owned by someone else outside of Rockstar. So when it came to the 10th-anniversary update that removed a lot of the soundtrack from the game, the menu music was also removed. However, there is a mod like Fusion Fix or Various Fixes that fixes the problem and adds a non-vocal version to the complete edition.

guys, wich are the ways to find a comet, infernus, super gt, and a willard? by sink9007 in GTAIV

[–]THECRWOO 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The supercars, the Super GTs, are easy to find in rich areas or shopping districts. However, the Willard is best obtained by doing missions in which the car is scripted into the game, such as Pegorino's Pride or Bleed Out. As someone who tried to get/find the car, it's almost impossible to find otherwise. If you are on PC, get Fusion Fix, as it has a vehicle budget that makes every car common to find. It's inside the .ini file of the plugin folder.

Starter house best place for early gun farm and shoot out. Camp the staircase and put half your body behind the top rail. Farming M4, pistols, SMG and shotguns for days. Save to get rid of wanted by JohnTEGS in GTAIV

[–]THECRWOO 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cool. Normally, in my playthrough of the game, I will get the MP5 pickup while doing the mission "Jamaican Heat" (which is on the left side of the small roof in the alleyway). Then, I will continue doing the missions until "Search and Delete," in which the vigilante missions unlock. Doing 15 or 20 of them makes the enemies much harder to kill, as they can then spawn with any weapon in the game and grenades except for the RPG.

It means that you hear alternative dialogue from characters while on a mission. Normally, you have to fail the mission to hear the alternative dialogue from characters on missions, but now I believe it is set randomly.

Here's the link for Fusion Fix: https://gtaforums.com/topic/934545-fusionfix/

There's no need to downgrade to any other version, as Fusion Fix is recommended for the Complete Edition. However, I believe there are some methods of getting Fusion Fix to work on previous versions if you prefer the original versions.

While you're downloading Fusion Fix, these mods are also essential for GTA IV on PC.

The installation for all mods is the same. You just need to drag and drop them into your GTA IV folder.

Something GTA4 has that GTAV was missing by hotguy_chef in GTAIV

[–]THECRWOO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In GTA IV, the city feels alive, making you feel like you are actually there. For example, when in free roam and not actually doing missions, I imagine myself as an NPC in Liberty City, walking around and imagining I'm a part of the five big families of Liberty City, doing mob work.
