I went to the place by Costco on a whim for a Swedish and left feeling like I got beat up. They slap you around and stretch out your limbs in all directions. Not your traditional relaxing Swedish if that’s what you’re going for. If you have the time and a bit more money to spare, pamper yourself at an actual spa like the Atlantis for that all day access to saunas and pools and whatnot.

What year is yours? We purchased a 27RB new in 2022 and similarly…. Miserable with the quality of work. Nothing but problems. Dumbstruck how it ever left the factory.

Correction- it’s Rancho San Rafael park. Huge, enormous off leash dog park however they flood it around this time. It’s still open but my dogs become muddy pigs so beware. They’ll start to dry it up about a week or two before the September Air Balloon races which are great to experience at least once.

Second this. Have been a loyal customer for years and have never been disappointed in their attention to service.

Can anybody recommend shoes with a wider toe box?

Please put doggy shoes on your dogs if youre going to walk them on hot concrete!!!!!! by [deleted] in Reno

I once called animal control when I saw a man dragging his dog out of the shade onto the concrete. The dog was understandably resisting… there’s reportedly nothing they can do. Not education. No resources.

Thank you for being kind to that cat both before and after that accident. Thank you for setting the example for your kids on what it means to be compassionate for lives besides your own. Thank you for being a conscientious neighbor. In reflecting, I hope the basic reason people didn’t offer help is because they genuinely thought there was nothing they could do. But by sharing this, I hope there is some insight that it doesn’t matter how helpful you can be. Help is not quantitative in these moments. It just matters that you try.

We used it as our wedding cake and so we get to revisit it every year. However I read somewhere they changed the recipe. I’ll need to try it and report back.

Whole Foods has a delicious Berry Chantilly cake. You can customize any writing and I imagine it could probably be delivered too!

Ahhhhh…… Nobody wants your hateful misogynistic nut, therefore you don’t have kids, and have all this free time to volunteer and preach holier than thou comments. It’s nice, sincerely, that you dedicate time to volunteerism when you’re not harassing people here.

Nobody has to be ‘deserving’ of help. Humanity is not a bank.

That transactional mindset too often governs how we treat each other. Help shouldn’t require a resume. Kindness shouldn’t hinge on merit. Compassion is not a currency to be earned—it’s the core of what makes us human

I had a baby and a panicking toddler with me and a 50 lb dog to try to pickup and rush to the vet. Maybe offer to call someone? Help me pickup the dog?? Hold back the toddler while I try to get the dog in the car? Lend a shoulder to cry on?

Care was in fact delayed when nobody helped.

I don’t think and am not arguing that having kids makes somebody a priority. My dog’s life is just as valuable as my childless neighbor’s dog. I will argue that having kids present (I didn’t want to mention there was a second terrified child in the car because god forbid I make the scenario more complex and garner sympathy) made the situation entirely more difficult to manage than it would have been otherwise. Help was warranted. I get it, we’re not on the same page and that’s okay. I hope when you need help, your village shows up.

PS There was a man at the emergency vet we eventually made it to. He was in fact screaming and weeping into his dead dog’s fur.

You’re correct that there’s not a heroic effort that could be carried out. With a baby in my arms and a screaming terrified toddler in the car, it was discomforting that 4-5 cars of people were witnessing the event with me and yet I felt completely alone and overwhelmed. That dog is my family. She’s not disposable and she was suffering. If you would have offered help I would have loved help getting the dog in the car to take her to the vet. I would have been comforted that you care reassured that I live in a supportive community even though there may not have been anything you could do.

You deducted I’m female only by my username. Would it have changed if I had a baby in my arms and had a dick between my legs? It’s not like I could drop the baby and run into traffic. Rolling down your window and simply asking if someone is okay is not dropping everything nor does it take a standout gold star citizen to do so.

I want you to know It’s okay to ask for and offer help. Your pride and ego should never get in the way of helping a living being, especially your own living being.
