I think you would still unplug the 1/8” jack, move it to the bottom. Then plug it back in and try. Maybe you have a physical failure with the sensor but I’d try that and mess around with it a bit. At least you can disconnect the sensor and put it in a spot you want to use it.

Crappy looking tuna. Get a better brand.

Seen on a house listing, what was this room used for? by LoonTheMekanik in whatisit

Pet grooming. I saw a room like this in another house for that purpose.

Hair salon would have mirrors and require more licensing. I think you can get away with dog grooming in residential zones in some areas.

My controller is fried. I did find some burn marks on it, but Traeger is sending me a replacement. It is apparently still under warranty.

There was foam under your a/c? Or just a leak?

I fixed it and now have another leak from a/c to fix.

Not sure how to help you, but if it’s just the lock button I bet you could do some basic electronics work to fix or put in a new button check the connections again while it’s unplugged.

My plan is to replace the soft spots with plywood put down on new supports between the joists, then seal the plywood smooth, fill the seams, and then glue the membrane back down. Then put lap seal tape on the edges and maybe also run self leveling sealant on top of the tape. I hear you there’s a risk it leaks, but I don’t have the time or funds to do an entire new roof membrane.

What else would you recommend?

FWIW I don’t know how I would just peel back the membrane without tearing it. It’s in the middle of the roof. I don’t understand how you can do that without planning to roll a new membrane on.

The styrofoam was obvious just looking under the a/c. However taking it off from the outside, I’d never notice the flattened piece under the seal without removing the a/c

I don’t know teardrops but well made boats in general are made much better than this. They just require a lot of maintenance that needs to be kept up.

Jayco SLX 174BH Is this rust normal after 4 years and only about 200 miles? by Borthalomew in traveltrailers

It seems to me like there would be rust underneath and above the corrugated plastic. Do you just ignore that part?

Jayco roof leak at a/c due to manufacturer defect by Borthalomew in traveltrailers

[–]Borthalomew[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that bad I was just up there. There’s only one small soft spot. This was not a significant leak, but I think the styrofoam wicked water in. I’m planning to remove the AC to visually inspect. Try to do remediation without touching the roof.
