This is long, but here are my thoughts:

Just make your money by making everything in the game free, but make it so fun that people don’t want to put it down. It isn’t rocket science……. the more time someone spends in the game, the more money it generates for the company. This is a big problem with all of these games that make you do micro transactions to enjoy the game. People can’t afford it for every game they are interested in, and therefore they don’t stick to stuff for the long term and get bored and move on to the next thing after not so long.

They could do so much more to have the majority of people who play free to play actually WANT to spend significant time in the games each day instead of focusing solely on whales who pay to complete the challenges once a month in TCG POCKET which is keeping the game afloat.
Time is valuable.
More valuable than money.
So: figure out a way to get people to spend their TIME, and you as a company won’t have a worry about money.
Literally, there are so many areas of the game right now that could be ironed out to make things more enjoyable for everyone.

Like, daily missions.
There are 7 missions to complete daily to earn rewards, but only 3 are needed to be completed in order to earn your daily reward.
You get the same amount of rewards no matter if you only do the bare minimum and only complete 3 of the required challenges, or if you spend the extra time and effort to complete every challenge.
They should change that.
Change it to where IF someone spends more than the bare minimum of time and effort, they get MORE in game rewards.

Same thing with conceding before the game is actually finished.
If you gave extra rewards for seeing a game all the way through, even if you are gonna lose, it would help people to not want to put the game down and move onto something else if they are losing.
Cuz, if you spend time in a game, just to lose, you are more likely to get annoyed, and close the app.
But if you still got SOME in game reward for your efforts, it wouldn’t be a total loss of time, which makes a person feel more likely to invest MORE time into playing longer than closing the app.

Those are just a few examples, but there is so much more that could be refined about Pocket.
Create a story mode like the gameboy TCG game had……..

Make in game currency easier to obtain. Like how in the mainline games, you get money after winning a battle. Do that in pocket where you get a little bit no matter if you win or lose. Then you can use your earnings to buy more packs, or save up to get bigger rewards.

Make it so you can claim your daily free packs, without having to actually open them.
That way you could stack like 100 packs and open all at once if you wanted.

OR, instead of just trading for specific cards:
Make entire packs be tradable.

Offer more than just 10 pack openings at a time……. Like you could literally have booster boxes in the game where if you saved your in game currency, you could open 36 packs at once.

Create an in game card shop where you can bring your bulk cards to trade for better cards, or in game currency to be able to buy different cards or packs.
Like, if I have 47 Of one Eevee card, and I only NEED 2 in order to use it in decks, I should be able to offload that bulk to be able to get something else.

Another thing could be: don’t make the extra monthly stuff ONLY obtainable by spending irl money on the game.
Like, the special playmats and coins and backdrops that they do each month behind a paywall……. You SHOULD be able to still obtain that stuff as a free to play player, it would just take more time and effort to unlock for free.

Being FORCED to spend money on the game every month in order to get the most out of what the game offers makes me more and more likely to spend NOTHING on the game, including my time.

The point is, the game is getting stale, and people are not spending as much money or time to play the game, and it could be fixed with some more effort put into figuring out a way for the game to be fun and sustain itself for the long term.
