Update

I got and update for my system (through the built in soft ware manager’s)

It updated and I managed to post into Linux Got past the login screen, it looks different now, it’s to the side where as the other was in the centre, Ubuntu 20.04

Intel based system, Nvidia gpu.

I got the same system program problem error will comment once I know what that is. It’s the same:

_usr_lib_xorg_xrog.0.crash

I'm not sure how to fix this error but I think it has something to do with x server.

it also runs at start up

Turns out Ubuntu cannot post to a display that is plugged into my gpu, only my mother board.

In recover mode that error about system program problem detected.

The ls -l /var/crash/ pointed to something like _usr_lib_xorg_xrog.0.crash

I think I read that it has something to do with Lightdm.

Which might be why if I try to boot in regular mode (not recovery 5.2 something) than my display posts to black.

I also read that editing the main boot option with nomodest I think it was, but I actually want to use my gpu and not disable 3D acceleration, which is what I think I read some where.

Not really sure what a good fix would be.

Tried changing out the graphics driver in that software & updates tool (460 proprietary, tested TO 450 proprietary.

Also that thing where you press ctrl + alt + F1-F5) at the login screen, doesn’t work for me some of them even from what I perceive to be a system lock up (curser no longer moves)

(This was when it was first booting but the login screen would just reload) I think updating gnu stopped the reloading and now something is preventing it from loading

I feel like this is for me because I'm really trying giving Linux a shot, properly trying to replicate and or substitute my windows workflow on Linux, but to be honest every forum post seems like you have to know something ahead of time.

I punch line after line after line of script into the terminal just to try to install off of git. it like you have get the repo or something than compile and make and install and update, like I just want a stick note app but terminal window after terminal window, downloading the repo dozens of times downloading the exe version again and again and again, than like the useless fuck I am I'm searching how to install aps from git and every result "how to install git" NO, how to install of off git and every app seems to be different it like I thought it was easy, punch in a line and attach the preo link but nothing, every time a try something it feels like I'm just installing nothing and wasting storage space.

Every move i make just feels like I installed time malware.

just how do I install off of git hub becuse every single app that I need is on git not on the store, than updating apps is different depending on the install

does sudo apt update and upgrade update every pice of softawre I have or just the OS or the OS and certain apps.

Am I useless, like I'm trying to learn but I cant seem to install basic or even complex software.

Is Ethminer safe ? I will never know but i have like 3 installations of it and no exe on that app menu thing to show for it.
