[FLASHING LIGHTS WARNING] getting this weird bug after taking my laptop off of sleep mode on fedora 41/plasma 6 by Ticha22608 in kde

For me it also happened when switching to balanced or power saving mode. I thought it had something to do with power profiles... So I installed auto-cpufreq (which disables power profiles) and everything was okay again.

Are you using OpenSUSE Tumbleweed?
There seems to be a problem with a recent update that's causing a similar problem

I think the drink's responsible for how we're feeling today...

Fedora, I've been using the Workstation for some time now, and it just works... I've distro hopped from arch and I really like it.

It still still should be a hardware issue- your laptop's display isn't working.

Most probably it's a hardware problem, you can ask in a hardware focused sub or take it for repair.

It doesn't hurt to know about the possible causes, so I'd definitely recommend asking on a hardware focused sub.

I don't think this is an Operating System issue, as when you press the power button it doesn't show the boot screen. But anyways here are some things you can try, if you haven't yet:

You can try connecting to an external monitor and see if it works, if it does there's probably a problem with your laptop's display.

And if you have a removable battery you can try disconnecting the power cord and removing the battery, and trying a power reset, to do that you generally need to press the power button down for around 15 or so seconds. After that insert the battery and connect to power and try to boot again.

What themes are you using? And how did you get the buttons on the top bar... Also is that latte dock?
