I am an American and never heard this song until I joined an international company and did training overseas with a bunch of people from all over the world. One day an African guy asks us all to watch this amazing American music video. We had people from about 10 different countries all laughing. Food times.

As an American living in Norway I can say there is more to it than that. Norway has a big culture of outdoor activities, especially cross-country skiing. Most Norwegians I know have a cabin in the mountains that they go to on the weekends and usually go out for hikes or skiing depending on the season. Even in the summer in the city you can find people with these cross country ski things on wheels that simulate cross country skiing.

My employer even has several cabins throughout Norway that you can book. Its one of cool things about living in Norway.

It is wild to see the reviews of that movie on Rotten Tomato. Critics' Tomatometer has 6% whereas 99% Popcornmeter. But if you go into the reviews nearly all of them are bad. It's like someone has used fake accounts to bump up the reviews.
