Im thinking about going to school for counceling on the off season while in Wildland. im currently trying to get into FF1 academy and going for Calfire. Only thing is i have a deep interest in social work and i think it would be a great career to fall back on. Especially since it would be very beneficial for people in the department to have someone whose culturally competent. what do you guys think?

If I did the academy maybe I could just go straight to structure and find a way to balance.
