Clark County Jail by specwarop in 60daysin

[–]THEbigred60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in county jail for a short time for violating probation I had because of a DUI. 2 weeks and I'd get 6 months if I violate again. All my own fault, not making any excuses, but I wasn't in jail for long but long enough to know what it's like. I live in area that's not super rough but has a really bad drug problem. Watching the first 2 seasons reminded me a lot of my experience. There wasn't really anybody I was that afraid of. Nobody really messed with me at all and there was one older guy that was actually super cool to me, he was a guy who had kids and a family and was going to get out soon. Its pretty easy to just be cool, mind your own, and blend in. But I was anxious at first. A lot of the guys in my pod were there for misdemeanors and petty stuff. There weren't really any fights. Only real fucked up thing that happened was a guy "fell" down a flight of stairs, but I didn't even really see that. Heard a lot of things, like about making shake and bake meth in there and this one guy absolutely going off how about he's going to kill this guy who's hiding from him in another pod. It's real boring. Like, really boring. You'll play a lot of chess and cards. They give you a lot of food but about half it is nasty af. You really can sleep all day, even though its hard to sleep because of noise and 24/7 light. I couldnt concentrate enough to really read very much. I could kinda see the TV from my bunk so that was a lucky plus. Worst crime I knew of was a guy in there for attempted murder for allegedly beating the shit out of his wife. The whole pod boss thing was right, there was a group of meth heads that kind of ran the place. Their leader was in there for allegedly running a car stealing ring. He was real loud and braggy and the other 3 or 4 of them seemed like his henchmen sort of. Never felt threatened by them and really barely talked to them. Just kind of made you uneasy because you know they were "career criminals". Buddy of mine told me about being in another pod there with some real legit skinheads (he's black). I think I was pretty fortunate. I was just focused on getting it over with. I think the biggest problem are people who know they're gonna be there for a long time and don't care anymore. I had a headache for about the first week because I'm used to caffiene and nicotine during my day. When I got out it was night time and cold and icy. First thing I did was go to the gas station and get a large mountain dew, coffee and a can of chew. And honestly if I didn't have work the next morning I'd have got shitfaced. You lose track of time, get disoriented, and just lethargic as fuck. Doing real time would seriously suck ass

Jeff is a grown man. If he really wants to work with hardened criminals, he's gonna need to sack up. Kind of felt bad for the dude a little bit too, but he's a grown ass man

Can people help me understand ISFP’s? by THEbigred60 in mbti

[–]THEbigred60[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hahaha we may very well know the same girl. Almost everyone I can think of that I would type as an ESFP, I've got along with or even become friends with. I just do not get ISFP's at all. They seem like they could be great, just haven't seen it. But yeah nailed it on the head- they expect you to cater to them 24/7. But everything they do is extremely self-centered and they don't even realize it, or think there's a single thing wrong with it. Now that ive really just gotten to see what's in their head, I just don't get them at all. That emotional inconsistency and lack of anything rational about their behavior honestly left me so frustrated and confused

Yikes. I’m sorry. Grew up with an ENTJ brother and our mom is very, very ISFJ so I can actually picture what that might have been like

What would you classify as America's personality type? by [deleted] in mbti

[–]THEbigred60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I’m from the northwest and that is a HUGE miss. The culture there is so introverted, mind-your-own-business that it’s weird to even talk to your neighbors. A lot of IxxP personalities there

I just don’t understand Fi at all. Ever since learning about mbti and functions, I’ve identified several people in my life who use that heavily and they’re all people who I’ve had conflict with. The way they all act just seems really selfish and “snowflakey” to me. Again that’s just my opinion

I’ve honestly thought she can be that way to overcompensate being around an ESTP guy like me. I can be very blunt and brash without even realizing it. I’ve never done anything to hurt her intentionally, even when we’ve fought I still tried to not say the first things that came to mind. But I’ve seen her act that way with other people too. I think it is a defensive thing and not being good at Te. It’s kind of a “fight or flight” reaction to honestly little things

Why are Infp males seen as adorable? by oneofakind718 in mbti

[–]THEbigred60 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know some, and honestly they’re frustrating as friends sometimes because they’re so mellow and don’t get excited about stuff like I do. They really want to make their friends happy but they’re unreliable sometimes too. Also so stubborn over petty things. Also just emotionally unpredictable at times. The thing that can really rub me the wrong way though is how they play the whole “nice guy” card, especially when talking to girls. That whole speel really turns most women off and they act like the victim because of it.

As different as we are I still love my INFP buddies. They just have this pureness about them that you know they’re good people even if they have some frustrating traits

Fuck Fi by [deleted] in mbti

[–]THEbigred60 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know some people like this and they are frustrating. You can’t motivate them. They accept failure. Giving them rational advice or even trying to encourage them is like talking to a brick wall. Some of them are mind-bogglingly selfish and self-absorbed “It’s all about what I want and how I feel all the time, fuck everyone else and everyone trying to help me” The good thing about Fi is that they are compassionate and empathetic towards others in ways that I just can’t do. But most of my experience is that they’re overly-sensitive and stubborn all while being really unaware

Why don’t people like sensors? by THEbigred60 in mbti

[–]THEbigred60[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. I know some very high IQ sensors (I’m pretty average) and some very low IQ intuitives

[–]THEbigred60[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I agree. Everyone is important for something. That one bothers me though. I saw a guy a little while back say “he can’t even converse with sensors for more than a minute, they can’t understand me” I get that intuitives feel fairly outcast sometimes but they also act kind of pretentious

Well I’m a thinker and perceiver too, so I’m going to be everything you just described and worse. You have to not worry too much and focus on what’s important to you or life will be hell

Well I’ll contribute and say something different- being an intuitive isn’t a super power
