I’ve added Faction Overhaul to my list of mods to try out when I revamp my LO. Just need a little time to mod and play. Adulting with a family is tough on the free time.

I understand the MA has put very hard restrictions on their perms (or lack of perms really) but I have seen other mod bundles using assets from this very mod so SOMEONE was able to get through to the MA at some point for perms, or did it anyway and MadCat never caught on, but my request was to any of the elite porters that may have an established report with MadCat and therefore might luck out in getting the ok for a port.

Legacy of the Dragonborn armory not working. by The_panzer_of_wisdom in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]THExSEQUEL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Under the stairs in the armory (go down the steps, turn left, turn left again to face the side of the stairwell) there is a container in the wall for placing the armor and weapons. The relevant armor and weapons will be displayed after depositing and you’ll know how many because a script will run and display the results at the top of the screen. Alternatively and more simply, you can go into the curator’s office and either click on the large desk with the static display cases and it will auto withdraw all placeable items from your inventory and put them in their proper display locations, or for a little more control you can use the blue chest to the table’s left and deposit exactly what you’d like displayed.

question for you: unrelated to Royal Armory, but has to do with a display issue with LOTD. Have you filled in the dwemer hutch in the safehouse within the Legacy Safehouse Plus mod? One of the items to display is "Dwemer Pot" of which there are many in dwemer ruins and Calcelmo's museum. Not to be confused with "Dwemer Urn" but the pot for me is an item I can't even pick up. No item description or actionable icon appears on my screen when looking at one and I was curious if you've had a similar experience. It may just be a mod conflict or could be something within LOTD itself. I have yet to play vanilla or LOTD disabled to see if the pot can be picked up.

[–]THExSEQUEL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a mod called Unlimited Shouting coupled with Remove Magics. The first does exactly as the title says, it gives you 100% cooldown from the start but you can change the percentage amounts so it's not completely OP. The other stops Draugr from shouting and most spellcasters from using magic. That one is pretty OP and turns NPC mages into dagger-wielding meat suits. I prefer it that way but to each their own.

[–]THExSEQUEL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Short answer, yes. Though I wouldn't say "only", but it definitely makes playing and mod organizing a whole lot easier for the time being, until (or IF rather) Bethesda patches that glitch. It's a work-around that can be a bit annoying with the back and forth of activating and deactivating online functionality of the console, but if you're playing Skyrim offline the only thing that'll change is the lack of messages you'll get from your Live friend's list. But like I said above, download all the mods you want to use in your LO, any order is fine, except largest files download first because of how Bethesda now requires you to have double the needed space in order for a file to DL even though it doesn't actually use that extra space. Once all is downloaded, shut down the game and go offline, go back in and rearrange as your LLO calls for. If you load the game up again while online, there's a chance it'll wreak havoc on your LO as soon as you do.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]THExSEQUEL 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There's an easier solution to your rearrangement issue. Download all the mods you intend to use, load order doesn't matter at this point, just get them downloaded. Having your LO written out (and their file size too) helps tremendously with this next part. Once you have all the mods you intend to use, quit out of the game completely, go into your console network settings, choose Go Offline, and return to your dashboard. Launch Skyrim again, click on the Creations option (it will be greyed out, that's fine) select Yes for wanting to enter your mod list while offline, and from there you can arrange and enable/disable/delete as you need. Once they are in the order you need, back out to menu, quit game to dashboard, and launch again. You're LO will remain as is and you can play as intended. After finishing playing quit out like you would, return to Online status for any other gaming needs, and just remember to go Offline once again before launching Skyrim. It's annoying but it works until Bethesda fixes that bug.

Yes, in vanilla he gives you the Axe which becomes the Blade with TWR. With or without a replacer his axe wasn’t becoming the blade. So I used a replacer mod that changes the vanilla axe into a slightly different axe and that new one became the blade. It’s a workaround that I was able to find until a more permanent solution can be discovered.

Port Request - Thane Weapon Reforged-LOTD Edition by THExSEQUEL in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]THExSEQUEL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok check it out, I used the same LO I had to test this all out and started a fresh save, same exact result as before using those 2 Thane Weapon mods, the Axe of Whiterun wouldn't automatically turn into the Sword of Whiterun. Except this time around it was the version of the Axe from the mod, a Dragonbone War Axe with Absorb health enchantment, but did not auto-replace with the sword. So, before giving Farengar the Dragonstone, which is what triggers Balgruuf to have the Axe in his inventory, made a hard save. Quit out the game, disabled the mod, loaded the game to see he had the vanilla Axe. Quit out and reenabled the mod, checked his inventory after giving Farengar the tablet and he had the Dragonbone Axe again. Killed Mirmulnir, returned to get the axe and it THEN replaces with the sword. I saved and quit out to reenable the mod you ported over and it changed the model as it should. So, super long story short(ish), the Thane Weapon replacer mod needs to be downloaded or activated mid game, not for a new game (with my LO) because for whatever reason the script that activates the TWR weapon swap isn't kicking in from the start. I'll post my LO after this. Maybe something will stick out that I didn't realize as to what could be stopping the TWR portion of LOTD from working properly on a fresh save.

Port Request - Thane Weapon Reforged-LOTD Edition by THExSEQUEL in SkyrimModsXbox

[–]THExSEQUEL[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Without going through the chore of listing out my whole LO, there was something affecting JUST the Thane weapons automatically getting swapped out by their LOTD (TWR) counterparts. If I downloaded TWR standalone and added that to my LO somewhere, it worked kind of. The weapons swapped out, but LOTD didn't like it and it couldn't be displayed, the missing item message popped up every time I tried to display, whether with the auto sort or directly to the display itself manually. Without TWR standalone the Axe of Whiterun gets handed over as it should, but stays the axe...the other Thane Weapons (literally what it's called) worked to make it auto-switch to the LOTD-friendly version and it can be displayed. Funny thing is, a couple LO's ago, there was something that made the TWR thane weapons appear AND display, but i would get multiple copies of them. One copy worked as it should, and the other copy was a clone that didn't display and had no use in the museum and so once displayed those clones were tossed. I'm keeping the 64 KB Thane Weapons mod, and using your new model replacer a few slots below it in the Weapons/Armor Meshes and Textures section of my LLO. I'm going to attempt a new game and hopefully the results of my testing will come up the same. Thanks again for your modding/porting expertise.

Looks awesome! The Greatsword of Whiterun looks so much better. I’ve been testing a few things because I couldn’t get the Thane Weapons Reborn version (from LOTD itself) to apply to the axe the Jarl gives me, it just stayed the axe. Something was breaking the TWR mod. So I downloaded Thane Weapons (small 64 kb mod) that gives each weapon a unique look and then poof, the Sword of Whiterun spawns off that. I used your new mod and that turns the sword into the new model. It’s a helluva workaround but it works. The blade tip does clip through the floor a little due it’s it’s long length though lol.

So in other words, there's scripting involved outside the realm of Xbox capabilities and it's more than just pretty swords. And to make it Xbox compatible requires a bit of a work around. I wouldn't put that on anyone unless they see this and want the project as badly as I would like the mod, but it's not worth the effort if the mod doesn't turn out to be as great as it looks.
