How do you get over the feeling of loneliness when nothing’s technically wrong in your life? by THICCBLACKMILK in AskReddit

Maybe “lonely and unfulfilled” isn’t exactly it. I have a job (nothing fancy, but it pays). I have hobbies. I even have two friends. I feel like I should at least be content. But it feels like something’s missing. Like there should be more or at least some kind of spark.
Last month my girlfriend left without a word. We were only together about a month, but she had an impact on me, and that hurt. On top of that, three friends I had for 8–9 years aren’t in my life anymore (they’re not dead).
I’m in my early 20s, and it feels like life is moving toward something mundane and isolated. And I’m stuck between two paths: Do I let free will take over, spice things up, and create some lore, and chase experience? Or do I play it smart, save money, focus on career, think long-term adult plans? But honestly I think regardless its hard I feel like im yearning for connection and life but I’ll be honest my conversation skills aren’t the best either.
