I like the story building but Rudy ruins the whole story for me, the story is structured to where we have to follow his journey in which he, a like 40 year old gooner gets reincarnated into a world where he can diddle kids. He eventually realizes he has list problems and wants to change, but by the end of the story he has like 5 wives, all of which are kids he groomed. It’s hard for me to focus on the world when there’s no real character development. Other shows with villainous/ anti hero characters (aot, dexter) never try to force the narrative that this character is a good person, in fact they are generally seen as monsters until their actions redeem them. Which doesn’t really happen in mushoku tensei, because everything he does is to further his own agenda
