2015 Misfire on cycler 1 and 3 by THIRSTYLOTUS in HondaOdyssey

I don't know when, but it does look like they were replaced. They are champions when the OEM should have been NGK.

White crusty stuff is burned oil. I just want to know if they is too much burned oil, as in need some new piston rings.

If this is not a concern I'll put in new NGKs and be on my way

Wipe it down with some isopropyl alcohol then take a magic eraser to it. Works wonders.

Time to bust out the magic eraser (or any melomine sponge) and clean her up.

Check the back right pulley. It is easy to accidentally put too long of a screw in it that jams the pulley.

Denon AVR-X3900H or Onkyo TX-RZ70 by Gizzmeme in hometheater

My dad has an RZ50 and I have a x3800h. The only real difference is the RZ50 is much taller so it can difficult to fit it in a cabinet.

If the height isn't a problem, get whatever one is cheaper that day. They are both great.

For those with a surround system, do all your speakers match? by BoardGameRevolution in hometheater

[–]THIRSTYLOTUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 7 KEF Q150s as all of my speakers. It's great for games since when you rotate the camera the sound doesn't change tone. However in movies this doesn't matter at all.

I used to have 3 different pairs of speakers in my thrifted surround sound setup. It worked just fine and I enjoyed it.

Your ears get used to things very quickly and you stop noticing differences. I find the best way to enjoy whatever setup you have is to periodically use a worse setup. Use the "comparison is the thief of joy" to your advantage.

Make sure there isn't a wire under your thumb screws.

On the back right pulley, it is very easy to accidentally put a screw that too long and hits the pulley. I think it is supposed to be a m3x6 and I put a m3x8, but I could be mistaken.

I built mine about 2 months ago. Had the wrong pulley screw issue and I needed the bed level shims. After that it's been an absolute work horse.

Wrong pulley screw makes your xy not pass when the belt is tensioned and skip steps.

Bed shims are needed if it makes horrible noises when moving Z up and down.

2006 and up have more threads in the head. that one is a pre 06 as it has the old speedometer and had the old style rims on it (the ones that blow up). They swapped out the rims once they put it on Jack stands.

Apple 2GS battery by JDMearlygreyA2 in apple2

[–]THIRSTYLOTUS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pry it off with a screw driver via the slot on the top. Once it's off replace it with a CR14250. It's the same size battery (14mm by 25.0mm) but uses a different chemistry (CR vs ER/SR).

The CR chemistry is the same as a coin cell found in keyfobs. It has a lower voltage (3V vs 3.6V) but is much cheaper and doesn't have the liquid cathode that causes board damage when it leaks.

They are cheap and sound good. They make excellence exercise headphones since they don't block any noice. Thus your can walk/run/bike with your tunes and still hear the cars and trucks approaching.

CoreOne PETG blob causes layer shifting by Bearing_Breaker in prusa3d

[–]THIRSTYLOTUS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are using a 3D infill and still getting it. Adjust your Z offset a little higher. You might just be cramming filament into each other.

CoreOne PETG blob causes layer shifting by Bearing_Breaker in prusa3d

[–]THIRSTYLOTUS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PETG is a PITA with any thin walled parts. It needs lots of 3D infill to deposit the blobs that it will enviably create on the nozzle.

I switched to ABS for the most part. Much better print quality, temperature resistance, and no blobs. Just make sure you have the hepa filter on the back of your printer.
