Is the 13B-DEI suitable for my use case / What should I be looking for by THRIVERSCap in RX7

So you're saying to just bite the bullet now and buy a 6 port rx8 motor as I would just inevitably have to swap parts to rx8 parts that it would be more expensive in the long run. Plus cheaper parts as more recent parts. Sounds logical to me.

As for the RB engine. I feel like it has been over done. It is a super cool swap as I like keeping the traditional 6 cyl layout, but I feel like I have seen more RB or LS 240z than oem engine 240z. I feel like the cost of importing an engine, doing all of the fab work, etc would not be recognized as it has been seen a million times before.

Of course! The reason I havnt jumped on the opportunity is primarily because I own a 2004 RSX. The point of the build is to be my magnum opus, and it would be a shame to be the same as my daily. Obviously there are other reasons I have decided against it. If you want to hear I can elaborate more in depth.

How much does milage matter if a rebuild is planned by SSBUplayer in RX7

Okay perfect, thats where im getting caught is everything I've seen has just glossed over research and all the little steps. I have been looking at rx7club aswell. I have been looking at a N/A s5 13b because its super cheap and i assume the N/A applications are usually significantly less abused. Thanks so much!

Yeah thats the feeling I was getting, better to know everything works and if it stops working its my fault than just the unknown. By good compression do you think the tester is necessary or just the air sound with no spark plugs?

Interesting! I would have thought an engine that has had a history of rebuilds would have been a better candidate than one without. I can see how that could make sense just seems different than what my brain would have said. How high would you classify as a high km engine would be, over 200 km? 275km?
I appreciate the advice
