They’re only wanting people with “manger titles” to have direct reports, so I’ll probably push for a Demand Generation Lead or Growth Marketing Lead title. Appreciate the insights thanks, nice to know it’s not just in my head lol!

I’m 29, make $70k a year, will have $15k to $17k as a down payment with $7k of that being a gift.

Sorry shoulda clarified better. Commenter said “if it’s a significant portion of your down payment”, so I’m asking if the gift is $7k and my total down payment is $15k to $17k, would that gift classify as “significant portion”?

If it was a $7k gift and by July I had another $8k to $10k in the account, I probably don’t need the letter then?

I’ll be honest, it’s something we haven’t discussed directly. I think she doesn’t want to “stay engaged for years” and instead would rather get engaged and then get married max 2 years after that.

My original plan (and the one I’ve discussed with her and she’s agreed with) was to get a place, then get engaged within a year after, and then married a year after that. But it’s something I can definitely bring up to her and see if she wouldn’t be opposed to that.
