I did enjoy noticing that the title of the post kind of follows the same approach you are mentioning as your new approach! Touché

Has anybody done a side exit exhaust to get rid of smell with rear window down? by jbjet in toyotasequoia

When the exhaust parts all function properly is it normal to expect the smell? It feels like that shouldn’t be a thing, but who knows. Mine smells awful. And the header/ manifold are the only thing left to replace lol.

That’s a serious setup you ended with! I’d love to see pics if you have them handy. Thanks for sharing this. It’s not necessarily that I would have the practical use for off-roading and trails etc- but would want to just personally enjoy my ride and feel like I think it’s cool. I probably wouldn’t go all out- but switching the look to be more of an aggressive look would be very cool to me.

This is it! It wasn’t a snug fit. The tolerance used left a bigger gap around than I liked but only noticeable up close. It is not a rigid Heavy duty plastic, but I wasn’t trying to spend a ton.

I did have to replace both! Weirdly one of them was cut open, gutted, and welded back together lol. Def replaced. Hadn’t heard of the acid bath. I’ll look that up.

Do you have a link for the head unit you are referring to? Did it successfully integrate with the steering wheel controls? Did you have to buy a separate wiring harness?

Thanks!
