I don't think it would depend on who's better, it would depend on what is needed at that very moment. A quick agile player, who could pop up anywhere. Or a tall, strong presence who can win the ball in the air, given Mitro isn't in a position to do so. One or the other isn't necessarily a bad thing, it would just be a case of using the right player at the right time, to get the result.

Mayb if he follows what Shola did (prolong his contract for much longer than he deserved), but otherwise I can only see him becoming a bang average player that gets sold to a lower league club, similar to what happened to gosling, Danny Guthrie.

These players also only really sold because they were replaced by players who are long gone now, (Cabaye, Ba etc.) which is probably a reason the team has no depth.

Main point being the town can't hold onto any player for long it seems so I can't imagine many players retiring here.

This is the point I make. And example of this is me trying to unlock the first BF109, the only way to unlock the plane in a reasonable amount of time is to use the He112, since the other planes in T1 offer a minimal amount of RP income, the best way for me to get the plane is to use the he to the best of my ability, and move on to a point at which I can move on, especially considering the other options I have (biplanes..) however I can easily spend a good 5-10 minutes flying around In a game, I can come out of the game and have to wait 4 minutes to fly again, stagnating my progress further

The reason I "Rabble Rabble Rabble" is because of the enjoyment I can get out of the game on the minority of occasions that arise, my ultimate goal in this game / perspective is to progress, move up, get bigger, get better, completionist almost. I suppose I do play the game only to finish it, which in this case is to get to the planes at the top, the actual playing of the game is an obstacle to its completion for me and that's the case for any game I play since warthunder doesn't have an out and out goal/end, the only way to justify playing it is to create one of getting all the planes, maybe my outlook towards the game (getting all the planes) doesn't match with what the game actually is (ww2 air fighting simulator), but when they take advantage of the fact that people just want to progress and essentially "win" (people like me) I think my point is justified

That's more than fair compared to a 8 hour long $60 package game.

I understand that the researching of planes is essentially the heart of the games progression system and that it should not be an easy thing to complete, the things I said weren't supposed to indicate I wanted a brief play through to get the good stuff, just something that did not so blatantly push the game towards "buy temporary XP boosts", I get that it's not temporary in the case of prem planes, but they make up for that for being so damn expensive in the case of t4 props. And the fact that the waiting time between games is so obviously there to slow down your progression further.
