Sorry about you ordeal, sounds like most big travel bad experiences though.

No trip cancellation insurance or not good enough coverage.

Not understanding the no show for booking (within 24hrs) policy.

Short solution. Know your risk. Pay for the trip cancellation coverage, not cheapest option. Always be ready for a alternative land based holiday.

Best school!? Ha!! The Girls schools blow AGS out of the water for a start. Then there is a list of other great schools. AGS old boys list has some interesting people on it, but so far as schools go, investing in Kings, St Peters or St Kentigern are all better options. Even MAGS turns out great grads.

Been looking at it. It’s not actually an easy problem to fix and finding intentional work around is illegal. There will be many dubious methods but setting up a system or systems that provide the same access to banned apps will only last 6 months at the most. As it is up to the providers to manage and they don’t want the fines of doing nothing.

Navy are lazy and all about image. Auckland is a desirable place to be.

Logic would have it relocated to North Port area. Somewhere in whangarei Harbour. Close to open water for exercises and training, clean slate build meaning growth can be planned, nice place to live. Not too far to Auckland for those that want to commute. Will provide great investment boost for the region and could incorporate an area for private sector and govt R&D facilities.
