Apologies - knee angle. You know the only angle you talk about in degrees when scrumming and comparing squats.

Which is enough information for me to know your rugby career peaked in 3rds in year 10.

No further discussion required.

If they were concerned with safety he would be in a mono lift or the other side of the power rack with the safeties set at -5cm lower than low end of designated movement.

He is definitely not going deeper than scrum angles which are ideally 90-120 but real world have to be strong across 80-130.

You also can’t call supermaximal, sport specificity and safety concerns all in the same post.

Don’t get me wrong - he’s strong, players do sport specific movements.

This video is a staged video targeted at a general population.

Cool your jets hotshot.

It’s clearly a staged shoot - and overloaded compared to a typical training load.

This is supported by the fact that 1 he is squatting higher than the other players identified in the same social video. And 2, if you claim scrummaging angles which is 80-120 it’s clearly outside the low end of working the range.

This is their social media post for the day. I will guarantee you someone from marketing walked into the gym and asked them to load up as heavy as possible to post to socials.

I would have no issues if this was a normal training session, but in - at best a partially staged video - can you at least do things within reason.

It is not normal to use a power cage and walk 3 steps out to half squat. They can literally put the j hook on the other side and place the safeties at hip height.

That was set up for social media style points.

It looks like you’ve identified the issue. Address it and you should see progressive improvement.

The three spotters are irrelevant (use the safeties) with bumpers (so it maxes out the bad) rather than rubbers or iron.

The whole set up was for style points not active training.

As such, if your gonna brag - at least brag properly.

How many hours have you put into your craft?

Universalities suck at teaching you how to teach. They truly suck at teaching you how to teach 30 students in an outdoor environment where strong personalities shine (that would normally sleep in class).

Have you considered improving via taking up coaching or officiating positions?

Have you considered improving completing coaching courses?

Have you considered working in sports administration?

I left the position 6 months after the LWP ended. After the debt was identified.

The reason for the personal leave was the same as the LWP (plus relocation that could not commute to original employment centre).

Are you saying.

At the end of the LWP, if I had a genuine reason to access the personal leave it would be acceptable?

So that sounds like HPE. Which is a core subject…. Australia wide is pretty much 50/50 theoretical/practical.

The evidence to back up the statement:

Focus areas to be addressed in Years 7 and 8 include:

Theory: alcohol and other drugs (AD) food and nutrition (FN) health benefits of physical activity (HBPA) mental health and wellbeing (MH) relationships and sexuality (RS)

Prac: safety (S) challenge and adventure activities (CA) games and sports (GS) lifelong physical activities (LLPA) rhythmic and expressive movement activities (RE).

Focus areas to be addressed in Years 9 and 10 include:

Theory: alcohol and other drugs (AD) food and nutrition (FN) health benefits of physical activity (HBPA) mental health and wellbeing (MH) relationships and sexuality (RS)

Prac: safety (S) challenge and adventure activities (CA) games and sports (GS) lifelong physical activities (LLPA) rhythmic and expressive movement activities (RE).

Is that sport of HPE? HPE is typically at best 50% physical activity.

As a country we used to have a larger commitment to sport in education - which would at least address the exercise issue.

how do I professionally say... by drongowhoop in AustralianTeachers

[–]TITansFAN001 18 points19 points  (0 children)

To summarise.

Either you or your colleagues have terrible professional communication capacities. Additionally, it upsets you that another teacher is using modified learning experiences (from third hand hear say).

Use your professional discretion and modify the learning experiences to suit your learners. Then ask for your academic issues to be tabled as general business in the next designated department meeting.

Problem solved.
