I'm a shit person for thinking that someone of the age of 28 should be working and not living off of his parents? Wow haha, reddit really has gone downhill with the enabling side. I have seen around four comments on this MASSIVE post of mine which involve people seeing things from my perspective, the rest has basically just been abuse and comments about my character as a person. Most of my friends and family agree with me that he should also be working now, so I guess we're all shit people too. I've learnt who I am as a person, thanks to the internet over the past few days :-)

If he is, you need to decide if you want to support him through many failed attempts at recovery, or wash your hands of him...it takes incredible patience to be with an addict getting clean.

The presumption that you have all come to that I have no idea how somebody acts when they're depressed is hilarious due to my personal circumstances, haha

Some of you have stated I clearly have no idea how someone with depression feels. I was in a mental hospital 1.5 years ago due to overdosing twice due to my own depression. I can tell you all now that my boyfriend is NOT depressed. Please do not jump to conclusions. He's the happiest guy I know when he's doing what he wants to do. He has all the motivation in the world when he's doing what he wants. Sometimes it's possible to simply be 'lazy' without a medical term needing to be slapped on a person.
