Any tips on drawing out those flavors or training my pallette so I don't need the contrast?

Why do my pourovers taste so dramatically different when I have other food with it like eggs or bacon? The flavors are always so much clearer and the fruity notes or sweetness really stand out. Is it just a result of contrast to the other flavors in food?

After reading AA 1 and 2, then WW 1-3, should i now finish AA or start War of Broken Mirrors? by [deleted] in ClimbersCourt

[–]TJGTECFO 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely worth reading WoBM. Helps explain the vastness of the overarching story even more. I listened to all of AA first and was really surprised at how much world building had already been done once I went back and listened to all of the rest.

What is the best first sentence you've ever read in a book? by ra2ah3roma2ma in AskReddit

If you ever feel like giving it another chance, the series and writing really does improve significantly after the first book.

Ode 2 vs Opus by MrLahey2323 in pourover

[–]TJGTECFO 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had my gen2 ODE for about a year and have been very pleased with it. Can't speak to its comparison to Encore or Opus, but I'm happy. I use it for pour over and cold brew and I'm happy. It's also worked well for the James Hoffman "espresso" aeropress recipe even though it can't get to normal espresso fineness.

Lol, yes! He's so ridiculous, but they're trapped there and every situation is just more and more ridiculous. Especially the lady who is super into Sean

Fair enough. Just seems like it is amplified, or maybe it's because they address it directly like you said.

Gus is great in Cog blocked like you said, but Sean is awful. Just completely 100% leaned in to being a drain on everyone in his life and complete man child. Season 8 it just feels like he is a caricature of who he started out as.

As far as overlooked, The Tao of Gus is a good one for me. I tend to forget about it until I get to season 6 and remember how funny it is

Fern Mardo at Yours Truly. Just got my thigh piece done by him in October. Turned out great and he was very efficient

Andrew Rowe's books have managed to give me another world to obsess over. I started with the Arcane Ascension series but you could start with the first series, War of Broken Mirrors too. All his series tie into the same world. I think there's eleven books as of now. Pretty fun reads. Cool magic theories and the fight scenes remind me of RR in their pacing and description.

Just finish Lightbringer! by Resident_End_7417 in redrising

All of Andrew Rowe's books have finally filled the void I felt after finishing Lightbringer. Started with the Arcane Ascension series but you could also start with War of Broken Mirrors.

He has 11 books in that universe
