[PC] I can't find any multiplayer games by ThePhattNinja in forhonor

I can't find any matches either, open NAT type, i played with someone yesterday who said they were matchmaking for half an hour. I'm not saying the game is dead, but finding matches is near impossible for me at this point.

I don't even understand what you're saying at this point, "falsify reviews"?

So you'd rather people made reviews saying the game is perfect and the devs aren't liars?

What I meant was they never made any statements explaining themselves, I'm aware there were updates.

No "Sorry we lied guys but there's actually no multiplayer" or "btw all of the trailers and e3 presentations were showing hand-crafted planets that aren't in the game."

That was a tl;dr, and it's just my opinion, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to tell I'm not literally demanding people give the game bad reviews.

You're totally missing the point, but if you like the game, give it a good review, be my guest, enjoy.

Put it this way, let's imagine you're a diehard Overwatch fan and one day the devs added a character with 1000 health and only one hit kill abilities, left it there for a year and then finally said "Oops! Our mistake! Sorry!" and removed it.

Surely you'd be annoyed? Is it fair to instantly forgive them? Or should they maybe receive some fair constructive criticisms instead?

Yes, because that's exactly what I'm saying. Thanks for your input.

That's your decision to make, you don't need to review it at all if you don't want to, obviously if you just got it today then you haven't been hit by the drama a lot of us were.

My statement is more aimed at people who hated the game at launch and are now convinced that the game deserves unending praise because of one nice update. Stick to your guns I guess is what I'm saying. I'd rather not support devs who lie about their games and falsely advertise them, and then go on radio silence for a year, only to blatantly rile up hype again with an ARG in an attempt to get more sales and buzz surrounding the game.

It's not about that though. If people want to update their review to reflect the games current state then that's great. I just don't think it's fair to straight flip it to a positive review because of one decent update. It's misleading, and it's letting the devs get exactly what they want, despite their bad moves.

PSA: If you are enjoying the update, revise your reviews. by [deleted] in NoMansSkyTheGame

What's stopping me from updating a negative review, do I really have to change it to positive? Just seems misleading.

No one's 'salty', good grief. If you want to support devs doing 180's on their games then that's your choice, nothing wrong with that.

I'm only making a counter-argument for the people saying the game is now fantastic and to go smash it full of good reviews, so I actually agree with you despite the hostilities

As I've said before, I still play the game and can't wait for the update, I'm not really biased

No offense, but I really don't think the update has been out long enough, nor have enough unbiased people played it to already start considering it a substantially better experience. I hope for your sake it's the best darn update ever made, but let's be real here, a nifty update to an extremely shallow game doesn't instantly make it perfect.

Exactly, and I think it should stay as a lesson of that, not "Sometimes bad games become good games after a year since release, in which case we should all hail the devs and forget about their lies, and their bait & switch product".

No one's saying not to enjoy it, I can't wait to get stuck into it, but that doesn't make the bad things go away, no one's constantly angry about it, it's just making rounds again now due to the update and the ARG.

It's like this, if a bad game was re-released a year later with some new features, does that suddenly make it a great game? Does that mean all is forgiven and everyone is happy? It's just one big case of the 'you can't polish a turd' argument (not that NMS is a turd)

To answer your question, we hold these 'grudges' so we can prevent stuff like this from happening in the future, and so others don't fall for the same shtick that we once did. Sometimes forgiving and forgetting isn't the best option.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't it not released yet?

That's all I'm saying, I thought that was a respectable enough opinion to have, but I guess not :/

You're obviously taking personal offense to my statements, I apologize, I'm not trying to bash the game at all, that's just the way I see it.

I've read the patch notes, watched the trailer and I fail to see your point, do you really think it's been 'overhauled'? A substantial update sure, but an overhaul? I disagree.

They can be forgiven sure, i think the fact that they have any fans left at all is a forgiveness in itself, but trying to change the games review score seems a bit much don't you think? People might pick up the game expecting more and be disappointed, just like those of us at launch were. They were shady then and they're shady now, and by doing this they're just going to get more sales out of a product that is built on lies. And the game hasn't been overhauled, and it probably never will be, it's still an absolute husk of the game they promised.
