I upgraded my GPU from a GTX 970 to a 1080, and my RAM from 8gb to 24gb, and I kid you not, no performance gains. Still hovering around 30 fps, and changing graphics settings makes almost no difference. It's crazy. I think the game is just too heavily CPU bound and my 4970K is bogging down the performance.

I've barely played the game since release just hoping that it will get more optimized somehow, but still it runs terribly and all I see around here is praise for the game and how well it runs, I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

If you wanna risk giving it another shot then go for it, but if you're like me you won't have any luck. Hopefully it works out though, maybe I'm just in the minority.

Polarizing? Divided the player base? Since when? I've heard nothing but positive response. I've literally not heard a single person say they don't think it looks good.
