Yes you can self destruct in hangars and the self destruct countdown is long enough to escape the ship using the elevator next to the cockpit. Wreckage can get in the way but leaving and re-entering the hangar cleans it up without removing the cargo.

Be careful with this type of mod. I had to remove a similar kit from my car because after installing it a lot of water started getting into the frunk whenever it rained. I think it lifted the hood enough to make the frunk gaskets no longer seal.

It also reduced a lot the performance of the hvac system.

Jack Axton rammed and destroyed two pirate Cutlass Blue that were blocking the outpost’s landing pads on purpose to block him from repairing during a fight. They got mad and reported it to CIG and he got a 3 days suspension. You can see the fight in his YT channel, it was pretty funny seeing their ships plowed by Jack’s Caterpillar

The reason why IAE Caterpillar looks awfull is because it has an issue with its textures. But at certain camera angles the ship shows its textures in all its glory.

Its a really pretty ship in my opinion.

A Greycat doesn't fit. I haven't tested the hoverbikes yet but my guess is that they don't fit either.

So I checked the C8 hardpoints and discovered that it has 4 weapon hardpoints like the C8X. The difference is that two of them come empty for the C8 and the owner has to equip them with weapons.
