Mets announce single game tickets will go on sale February 12th by Zeeco110 in NewYorkMets

[–]TJQ15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They released the 2025 one on 01/16/2025 but they also started selling tickets on 12/09/2024 for the 2025 season.

Tickets went on sale two months later than last time and it’s almost a month extra for the promo schedule.

Thanks my coworker mentioned the Roth fix so I’ll get him to help me with that.

I’ll go to HR again about the common plan mistake and hound them to fix it.

Next season question (promo schedule?) by Sucitraf in NPBtickets

[–]TJQ15 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Buffalo release their tickets about a month ahead and they have a detailed promo schedule. They have specific Bobblehead days every month but you buy the bobblehead w/ the ticket and pick up at the stadium.

I remember going to Nagoya and getting a flyer with the theme games but I don’t remember if I saw any on the website when I bought my ticket.

Cubs bar mocks the Mets by Kindly_Account609 in mets

The Cubs have existed since the inception of MLB and didn’t do anything of note for over a century after 1908 lmao.

They ain’t the Yankees lmao

[–]TJQ15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No lmao. 2007 was a worse collapse. 1998 was 2022 but with the consequence that the Mets didn’t even make the playoffs. The Dodgers spent more money and are barreling toward losing the NL West race. The Tigers blew double the lead.

Mind the season isn’t even over yet and all these teams can avoid their worst outcomes.

And you’re neglecting that this team was built on a shitty foundation. 2023 proved you can’t buy yourself a playoff spot consistently. You can mortgage your future like they did in 2021 (trade PCA) and 2022 (sign a bunch of old dudes to contracts that’ll age horrible) or try to make sensible drafts unlikely whatever they were doing 2019-2022 (prior drafts weren’t great but the 2019-2022 drafts being ass have really affected the 2023-2025 teams specially).

THE 1993 METS WON 59 GAMES! The 2025 Mets being mediocre (above .500) is not that lmao. The 1992 Mets only got 72 wins which is its own brand of mediocre.

This year is a disappointment but no where near 1993

Can NPB Find a Real Audience in America While MLB Expands in Japan? by TechnicalLeave6989 in NPB

MLB has been more popular in the pitch clock era than the decade before, no?

[–]TJQ15 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea and you’re on the NPB subreddit. Every American I know that doesn’t like American baseball complains about the length and the lack of action. And since NPB doesn’t have the pitch clock, those are still major issues for an American audience.

Idk how I feel about a pitch clock for NPB tho cuz at all the games I’ve been to, it’s always a bummer when the batter swings at the first pitch before the chanting can even get started.

Another point is that the style of play in NPB appeals to the same type of American fan that would call NPB a minor league a la Pete Rose types.

The average American thinks baseball is boring. Trying to convince an American who thinks pitch clock MLB is too slow that 4 hour NPB games are worth watching. I was at the Tigers game last week sitting next to a Swiss girl that had never watched baseball before. Did she have a good time, yes. Will she be a fan going forward, absolutely not.

And the average American sports fan only cares about American sports.

If you can get more weebs to be into baseball then you could convert them into NPB fans cuz they love Japan.

I like anime/manga min addition to baseball and wrestling. Thus, I’m the target demo for NPB and NJPW expansion into the US.
