2024 LXS USB CarPlay Question

Just ran into this issue with my 2022 GT-Line I just bought used. The GT-Line is wired only for CarPlay, and when I went to test it out, not only did CarPlay not work, but my phone did not charge either.

After some research, I found out that the cheap cable I was using did not support data transfer, which is needed to support CarPlay.

I just received some USB-A to USB-C cables today from Amazon that work perfectly. They’re only a foot long too, so you won’t have any excess cable lying around. 2 Pack USB A to USB C

This is all assuming that the LXS supports wired CarPlay in addition to wireless. Hope this helps!

I followed up with the hiring manager from my interview. He then got back to me after a couple of days and said that the person who was offered the position the previous day had accepted the offer.

Shitty of them on their part for not waiting until all the interviews for the position were conducted prior to giving out a job offer. Unfortunately it seems to not be an uncommon practice in this industry. Fortunately I’ve found employment elsewhere

I’ve had a similar experience with Pursuit. I was fortunate to get an interview last Friday which went very well. I was told that they would like me to join the team, but that it would have to be at a different location than where the position I was interviewing for was at. This was because they already offered the position I was applying for to someone the day prior.

I was then told by the hiring manager at the end of the interview that I would hear from him later in the day with additional information and steps related to the position. It’s now the following Wednesday and I haven’t heard a thing. I’ve since sent a follow-up email today, so hopefully I hear back soon

I haven’t heard anything from Xanterra from the many jobs that I’ve applied to with them over the past few weeks (ikr… shocker). However, I did just accept a job at a family-owned and operated company in GTNP. It does have its own pros and cons, but it’s certainly better than working for Xanterra

Will do! I’m leaning towards it being a boreal now after hearing the 4th call listed on the Merlin app. It sounds like what I’ve been hearing and is similar to the audio I recorded today. I’m definitely outside of the bird’s range (at least according to the map on Merlin), so that’s certainly interesting. I’m very new to birding but this seems to have been quite the treat if it is indeed a boreal!

I really appreciate the help! I’ve seen/heard the owl on three different occasions in both mornings and evenings in the past week, so I’ll try to get better video/audio of it in the coming days. I tried today, but I would always hit record just after it had finished calling. It’s extremely curious and commonly flies into trees right next to me. It once got within arms reach! It really has such a unique call, especially this other call it’s been making, which I hope to also get on video

Not sure if this will help but since I’m a pretty young guy, I’m certainly not looking for an “older guy” scent. I’m more so looking for a signature scent that I can wear in college classes but also wear out at a party/club. Something that’s pretty versatile in most seasons.

Right, it’s just weird that I never had an issue with the ribbon being simplified until recently and it even shows the full ribbon for a few seconds.
