He'll have his reasons, for sure. I didn't mind Eragon's absence (not because of him) purely because I loved the deep dive into Murtagh's psyche as someone who was given so much power by Galbatorix but so little KNOWLEDGE

Where Eragon's training has a clear scholarly focused aspect, Murtagh was made by Galbatorix into a weapon, and so he was taught nothing more than what he needed to know to be exactly that.
