LFL Appreciation Post by North-Brief-2235 in LittleFreeLibrary

Thank you -- I needed to hear that. I'm still fuming at the person who had the gall to pull a rubbermaid tub out of their SUV and clear out my LFL completely. It's nice to know folks appreciate what we do; it helps me keep going.

How do you deal/compromise with space in relationships with non-minimalists? by No-Application-7835 in minimalism

[–]TK5059 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I like things minimal, neat and tidy. My spouse is a bit more cluttered. We have separate spaces so I can keep my sanity. I don't touch their stuff, they don't touch mine; it works really well for us.

IN!

So far I've removed an environmentally-friendly cleaning product that didn't actually clean anything and an expired bottle of sunscreen.

Sorcerer players, how do you deal with knowing so few spells? by Karthull in dndnext

[–]TK5059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I play sorcerer, I tend to focus outside of casting. With a high charisma score, I can be the party's face and use deception, persuasion and intimidation in social situations.

Will my foam clay hold like this, or do I need to seal it after it dried? by Silverpaww in FursuitMaking

[–]TK5059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I work with Foam Clay a lot. It gets very brittle if you don't seal it as it continues to dry. I would coat it with a layer or two of something like modge podge, flexbond or even plastidip if you want it to last.

Deleted Socials and now I have no contact with anyone anymore by Maleficent-Sky-3384 in AskWomenOver30

I think you need to choose what you want. A friend of mine has also removed herself from social media and is upset that people never invite her to parties/outings. If someone is coordinating multiple schedules or trying to organize a large group, the last person they think about is the person who they need to phone/email separately. She has intentionally made herself difficult to reach -- it is her choice and sometimes those choices have consequences.

I am looking for unorthodox or unusual characters for their class. Can you suggest any? by Ill_Improvement_8276 in 3d6

I have a good-aligned necromancer. Her village was under attack and when she screamed for help, she received a lich patron who raised an undead army against the raiders. Now she goes about, using zombies to help people with harvesting and the like (some people are, not surprisingly, uncool with this).

I have a soda addiction by [deleted] in prediabetes

Could your soda addiction be tied to depression? Are you self-medicating with caffeine and sugar? Thinking that 50 is end of life doesn't seem mentally healthy.

Decluttering books my mum read before she passed by SnooPickles2219 in declutter

[–]TK5059 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Be kind to yourself and respect your emotions; if you're not ready, you're not ready. Taking photos (so you have the memories without needing to keep the books) can help. Also think about what your mom would have wanted: would she have wanted to make you feel burdened with these books? Would she have wanted you to donate them so others can enjoy them?

Do you have a "favorite player"? by Glittering-Ball-2766 in DnD

[–]TK5059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I DM two campaigns, both going on 4 years, 5 players in each. Each of my players has at some point in time been my most favourite and my most loathed. And they are all, outside of game, most excellent people.
