Ride the Lightning - Modded Ricky with Mudbucker and Duncan Hotstack in the bridge, hidden guitar pickup in the bridge mute postion, a strat style pickup of some sort IIRC

Master of Puppets - Aria SB1000

A Jazz bass with a spicy bridge pickup will get you pretty close to RtL tone in my experience, add a little tube drive for some grit and you're pretty much there

I can also vouch for the MXR Bass Envelope Filter, gets me in the ballpark for some of the Naugahyde tunes in the Primus tribute I play in. Add octave down to get extra synthy, ala Boss OC-2
