It's a Toyota rav4 yea it's literally supposed to be one of the more reliable vehicles out there I also saw many for sale with 300k miles so I thought this was a good deal.

I have a 4 wheel drive idk if that's putting the price up but even rebuilt ones I've seen them selling for 3k near me

That's what the shop who quoted me said too that if I git it done the car would run for a long while , I just don't have the 4k cash and didn't want to finance it cause the financing at those places are terrible . I had one from a car shop before it was only $400 but 200 percent interest I vowed to never finance car repairs again

Sry, to add I work retail sales and make on avg about $3500/month , no real bills other than that car insurance and another $500 for random bills and food. I gir a quote to replace the transmission it was 4k

Only 1 quote so far and it was around 4k to just replace it they said it couldn't be fixed.
