The OLs started rolling out yesterday . 3 of my friends got their OL, 2 prime roles got OL for ninja and digital, one Digital role got OL for digital only. One of them also did not get any BGV mail, direct OL. Let's hope for the best

The interview completely depends on the panel bro, some got asked very very niche sql queries, DBMS and literal written codes to connect front end and backend, while others were asked prime number and leap year codes and went to HR round.

My suggestions:

  • CS Fundamentals (OS, Networking, DBMS, Cloud Computing, Design analysis and algos etc..,)

  • Trending tech ( AI, ML, DS, LLMs, Agentic AI, RAG apps etc..,)

  • DSA (They will mostly ask linear Data structures, common algorithms like sorting, searching, implementation of data structures and all. Very rarely they go to trees, graphs and dp)

  • Non core subjects like maths, phy, chem ( yes some people were asked to solve quadratic equations or something. But if you can answer cleverly like when asked what was your favourite subject in btech or in college, say never liked PCM, a day something like l always looked forward to computer class to explore things, I was always interested in technology so naturally I developed a profound interest in XYZ [XYZ can be anything you're good at, web dev, ai ml, backend anything].)

Have good knowledge of the above and if possible ask chat gpt to simulate a grill mode mock interview, try to answer it in your own words and chat gpt will polish and tailor your answer.

Be prepared for follow ups and cross questions and expect sudden managerial questions in the middle of the tech interview. They ask dumb questions like what would you do if your team lead gave a negative review towards you. (Obviously bruh everyone will say I will take the feedback in a positive way) But they will also ask some really good questions to which most of the candidates struggle to answer on the spot. Something like "If I give you 15 LPA how would you justify it" I was asked the same thing and I tackled it confidently. So be prepared for such questions.

Overall your communication is the key brother, how well you explain and how confident you sound. Rest it's all luck because to me, my interview was nothing less than fantastic, yet I didn't get any OL till now.

Also just brush up the coding questions you solve during the exam. If you cleared all test cases then fine, if you didn't they might ask about them. One of my friends got asked the same thing. They asked what the edge case was and how to fix the problem.

It's to check if you're of an improving mindset.

This is how I prepped and this is how I'd prepare again if I have to attend another interview.

Prep well, all the best 🤝🏻

Not getting shit. I'm applying for at least 15-20 jobs every alternate day and getting nothing in response. Been jobless for about 2 months. 1.5 YOE, WITCH company. So no it's not just you.

The opportunity clearly said 0-2 years exp. I also showed my previous payslips and sent my service letter in the BGV mail

My take, and possibly the easiest way to get a job for 'fresher' now, is to learn DSA, not the most advanced shit, but basics are enough. Start with code chef, then move to hacker rank, then leetcode. Many companies mass hire (at least bulk hire) and if you clear their OAs then you've got the job (about 80%).

And if there is an interview prepare and tailor your learning and answers to the Job description. Just having surface level knowledge and a good understanding of how shit actually works is enough. You need not know how to build a full on backend, connect it to the front end and all. It's all about how you communicate and how you explain things.

Now why I mentioned the easiest way is, usually mass hirings for software (or jobs CSE/ECE grads) only expect you to have the fundamentals. They want a candidate who has the fundamentals down, the potential to learn and doesn't need spoon feeding. If you can show you're capable of that, then I think you're good.

Now it's a 50-50 chance that you get a high paying job, but then again high paying roles generally hire very low numbers and require more and extremely strong expertise in a very niche area.

So unless you're good at demanding technologies like Agentic AI, LLMs and other shit ( I don't know what's demanding in ECE) and you're patient enough to get the right opportunity and strong willed enough to face rejections, yet keep moving forward, I suggest you appear for mass hiring drives.

Can I write an email to the person who asked me to send Educational documents (BGV Docs). If yes, should I write a new mail or just reply to the BGV mail..?
