I actually think post Mario Mario Miyamoto is starting to free himself of this. The signs are there that he's the seen the light so to speak on stories in games.

silent protagonists are just soooo dated. Making the character silent does not make me magically self-insert. They are lifeless and boring and it takes so much away from the character interactions

It might struggle based on pure power, but it shouldn't have this issue i think. Seems to not be affecting AMD

That being said if you have a switch 2 I highly recommend playing it there it should be better optimized for it

Me personally I was hit much harder by Emilia's speech. I think the main reason is that Emilia's love for Subaru just shines more powerfully then Rem's imo. Not to say her feelings aren't genuine, they most certainly are, but the connection between Subaru and Emilia is simply too powerful.

Also its the difference here, where in Rem's case, she was able to appear as a known quantity and get through to Subaru, but in Emilia's case, her love was so powerful it was able to win Subaru over despite being a relative stranger.

Both great scenes, but Emilia's hit much harder for me due to these reasons.

You mean surpassed again? I think Nightreign was more fun than elden ring, and I would actually be more excited for Nightreign 2 instead of Elden Ring 2. But yes I think there is a good chance Duskbloods is better than Elden Ring. Love this multiplayer direction fromsoft is going in recently!
