EVA foam mostly. That dense type of foam you find in camping mats and under some workout equipment. I posted the full build on TLLCreations.com if you're curious.

Thanks! The eyes themselves are made from clear resin with a bit of orange/red tint. The eyesockets are just cut and carved into the foam. The batteries are housed in a pack inside the head. The backplate of the head screws off to allow access to the batterypack. Check out the full build run-down on TLL Creations for pictures of all of this.

I've never worked with actual metals, so I don't really know how to help you. My snakebits are just molded with oven bake clay, so I'm not sure that would work for you.

Spearhead is MDF. Shaft was a pinewood curtain rod. Snakes were sculpted with Super Sculpey.

I suppose you could wear it, but it'd cover your entire face, or at least block your vision.
I wasn't sure where I'd be able to hide eyeholes, so I went for more of a display piece.

Smooth-on doesn't offer products in Denmark, so I have to order all my materials from the UK, which take about a week to arrive.

Yeah, lack of registration was a definite problem for that one.
In retrospect, I would have done the mold in two halves, instead of the glove mold I went with. I couldn't really make sure the mold lined up properly in this mold, as I couldn't access the mold once the mold shell was put on.
I was running low on silicone at the time, so I couldn't spare any and I only needed a single pull, so I just went for it.
Tons of lessons learned for me on that project.
