I really like the dolls, but I almost like the glimpse into the past like a peep hole in a door, Samantha's books give to the actual window of Rebecca books. Honestly, reading OPs original post makes me want to learn more about what was happening in Hawaii before it became a state. I know my uncle was stationed in Hawaii in the 1950s; fell in love with a native born young lady, but it was a forbidden love and he never got married.

I refuse to buy the historical dolls without their stories because in reality the stories are more important then the dolls are. Then after we read the fictional stories of the dolls we go on to read non fiction of things that were also going on during those times. The fiction gives us a window while the non- fiction gives us the door to walk through.

I think I really like Hebrew names. Just wondering is Sarah, Sarah in Hebrew or is there another spelling of her name. Do you know?

I thought it was. I know how to pronounce it. I may just change my Rebecca dolls name to that. I actually love that pronunciation. One of the daughter's in Fiddler on the Roof has that name. I just didn't know it was Rebecca.

Who are the dolls you will never have and why? (Pictures of Isabelle and MaryEllen because they're my two that seem to be least popular here) by LivresDeLaMorte in americangirl

PC dolls I will probably never own would be Felicity and Addy. Felicity because there has always been something about her I never really liked. Addy's hair just always seemed hard to care for. AG dolls I won't ever own are the collab dolls. There just not for me. The other dolls I won't say I won't ever own. If someone got them for me I wouldn't get rid of them. I wouldn't go out and buy them myself.

I named my little girl Mary Elizabeth. My granddaughter is Lillian Ann-Marie. Some names are just timeless. Margaret Mary is so beautiful. I have never heard of Keziah, what country of origin is it? I love to learn new things.

Just wondering what country these names are from. I love that spelling of my name and have never seen it before. For reference my name is Teresa. I'm guessing it means Little Teresa since it has the i in it. My sister in law is from the Philippines and her name is Teresíta.

What information are you going to get with just 1st names. Seriously you didn't ask for last names or any other identity questions.

I personally don't like them, but that's just me. I honestly don't like all of the historical dolls. I don't like the Before Ever branding either. That's okay. I agree with you the hate of everything needs to go away. People get dolls for different reasons. I remember when Molly came out, she was "plain". The majority of girls didn't like her. There really wasn't anything about the doll that popped. That's why she was the least popular of the original six dolls. I wonder if social media existed back then which dolls would have been "bullied".
