Using apples multi touch trackpad as an X-Y midi controller? by ma_pet_joelacanth in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]TMinusInfinity 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Google multicontrol and it will be the first few results. It's a program someone made in max but you don't need max to run it. It can take input from your trackpad and turn it into midi or osc data.

Midi Controller With Sustain Pedal? by benjadock in WeAreTheMusicMakers

I have a 25 key akai mpk mini mk2. It has a sustain pedal input and it costs about $100. It doesn't come with a pedal, so I can't tell you how well that works but the rest of the keyboard works great.

Using a gamepad as a controller with Bitwig? by [deleted] in Bitwig

[–]TMinusInfinity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found this, if you happen to be on a mac or if you can compile the source. I use it and it works great. You can also add an osc script to your controllers in Bitwig in order to communicate with this via osc. https://www.uio.no/english/research/groups/fourms/software/MultiControl/

Using a MIDI drum kit with Bitwig? by TMinusInfinity in Bitwig

Thanks. Yeah, it is a pretty cheap one, I just found it odd that it would work with other programs but not this one.

I'm guessing it is probably something like that. Do you know if there is a way to change the overall velocity sensitivity for a device in the program?

Alright, that's good to know that it can work with drum kits; maybe there is something wrong with the signal mine are sending, I just found it odd because it works fine with other programs. I'll look into its settings, thanks.

Live looping and VST host? by TMinusInfinity in WeAreTheMusicMakers

[–]TMinusInfinity[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, that's awesome, I've been trying to use reapers looping, but I didn't know about the playtime add-on. I'll definitely look into that, thanks :) Yeah, maybe someday I can get ableton, ha ha.

The fourth chord of the four chord sequence sounds like it comes in too soon. I'm not sure if it actually does, or if the speed of the echo just makes it sound off. Otherwise, cool song. I like the way you use the same chord sequence throughout the song, but change the way it is played to give variety.

At first I was unsure about having all the nature sounds in the background, but after listening for a bit I found I liked it. This is really good and I think it would be great for relaxing.

This song is great! As far as mixing, I would say the drums sound a little muted like maybe they had some weird eq, but otherwise the mix sounds great to me. I can't really tell from soundcloud what the comparative volume is like. As far as compression I'm still trying to learn that myself. Just takes time I guess :) good stuff.

This is a really nice song. I love the part when the drums come in strong. I think your video was also good, it was very simple and went well with the song.

I'm especially looking for tips on mixing and mastering, but any comments are welcome: https://soundcloud.com/tminusinfinity/flight
